It's too sunny to be blue & I'm on holiday but am sort of bemusedly observing my own unsortedness today

Was drinking in the laundrette earlier & had to be like "dude you don't wanna be drinking in a laundrette c'mon"

Unbeknown to me my phone ringer has been set to silent for about a year

I had wondered why I never heard it ring

i don't have to drink

i think the only people i can communicate with are at the other end of a computer network

but this is probs my fault

tho it seems sometimes that i want some kind of interaction that most people aren't bothered about?

i dunno i love my kids but it's in the nature of kids often to be closely wrapped in their own thing and that's all good, you don't save yrself by grabbing hold of another swimmer and wrestling them down

I'm back at the laundrette. My stuff is in dryer 11 but I pushed the button to start number 2 because I thought it was Roman numerals

machines confuse me sometimes too.

although they don't scare me really, the way sometimes other things do.

i walked round the park, it was pretty but busy, then i bumped into a friend's wife who told me he'd died in December. fucking cancer. left a beautiful daughter around Han's age too. then i went for a walk round the block, smiled and nodded at loads of strangers. there was a huge queue at the new gelato shop on Newland so i didn't get icecream, went to Lidl instead. got nice food. sun still shining. tomorrow Han's coming round.

i'm into this ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CONFIDENCE kick i've been on lately -- i have spent so much of my life terrified of being seen as queer, weird, ridiculous, etc. but... I AM ALL THOSE THINGS but also realizing (i mean i've sort of known but never really internalized it) that this is the very quality that people who like me appreciate.

also just putting more energy into looking cute/not dressing like a bum/not being fearful of standing out in any way.

like, i've done all the homework you know? i've spent years and years exerting so much effort to not offend, telling myself the lie (and believing it) that i was doing it out of some feeling of obligation to "make society better" and not merely a seeking of approval coupled with a fear of being hurt or singled out. sometimes it's liberating to be... kind of a dick!

tl;dr right now i am into being looking, feeling, being MAGNIFICENT <3
