zinging atheists is fun but "so that faith has been redirected towards faith in objective measurable truth" doesn't make sense unless you conflate two definitions of 'faith'

mh otm as well. character is more important than ideology, ultimately. if you are a decent person, that can sometimes transcend ignorant views, at least most of the time. if you are a singleminded, humorless ideologue this sucks regardless of how righteous you are.

the only empathy we have is the ability to relate to people who are unlike ourselves, the rest is back-patting
