I have some problems with that statement but mostly because I do know about really dumb character encoding

mh, I was taking that from http://www.sklar.com/archives/96-XML-vs.-Control-Characters.html among other places, and stripping out those characters made it all work. Is it wrong?

nah, my problems are mostly emotional when it comes to character encoding!

it does say right on that page that they're not unicode characters according to that spec, so you'd think any smart parser would give you a mode to remove them but noooooo

another buggy thing i have going on is when i get xposted using zing i get the same "somebody else has posted on this thread in the meantime" error message like half a dozen times in a row before i can go back to the thread.

I'm looking into the xpost thing, I haven't seen it myself, but have suspicions.

I've just sent a new build to Apple, which has a few things
- Supports Dynamic Type, so you can whack the font size up to hueg. But the price is you have to use Helvetica.
- Some of those bugs upthread are fixed
- I've added the system share sheet button. But amazingly the system one doesn't support opening in Safari and you have to roll your own. Fuck Apple on that one, I'll wait till they add it.

Stet, I have a non-Zing issue. ILX is acting weird in my android Chrome browser on my phone. Is there a thread where I should be posting those types of problems?

Nitpick, but whatever: if I rotate my phone (iPhone 6), back and forth the page goes backward a post. I also see this if I click into a post and back out - the page slides up a post.

Nitpick: I love the share sheet integration, but for URL's I have to actually go to the URL to save it to Pocket. Otherwise it sends the ILX post to Pocket. I would like to be able to just long press on the URL in the post and send to Pocket.

This is a website bug, but the main list of boards index page displays the Chicago thread's name differently than the Site New Answers page does, leading me to believe the character encoding might not be set consistently but I have not checked

Hello I cannot load sna or ilm on this. Just get a blank screen and "loading threads..." forever. All other boards fine. Anyone else getting this?

Same thing happening for me with SNA, not sure about ILM because why would I want to load ILM?

Wow, I just read through this and didn't see anyone having my issue which is, I have never been able to post from my iphone...i get some message like, oh snap, your message couldn't get sent. And now ILM doesn't even load

Are you using Zing or the browser?

Delete zing and reinstall; should fix that xp
