8gb isn't enough even if you do have your music elsewhere, as I do. Apple should be ashamed of selling a phone with an 8gb capacity right now. For one thing ios8 is not much less that 8gb in itself so you won't even have room for many apps and may even struggle with photos.

I disagree that it's cheap looking though. I think it's the best looking iphone.

got it. also what does your phone bill look like? how much extra would it typically cost to have an iphone vs. basic cell phone?

We went from about 100 a month for the two of us (with flip phones) to about 165 a month for the two of us (with iphones and 3GB a month non-wifi data)

This isn't completely accurate. The ios8 update did need a lot of space to perform an OTA update (something like 5-6GB), but after the update process completed the actual os takes much less (just over 1GB), and you could bypass the space requirement by upgrading through iTunes (connect to a computer)... had to do this with several family members who had no space to upgrade.

That said, 8GB is still way too small. Go 16 or 32 if you can anyway afford it.

I'm glad they updated the MacBook Pro. The new MacBook is cute and all but I want something with a little more oomph and that plays well with my old crap without buying a slew of dongles and bullshit.

Don't know why you need this and the Air though.

It sounds like the existing MacBook Air has better performance than the announced MacBook.
