Okay it's just one picture, difficult to get a full feel but my initial reaction is that the tats and overall style is too perfect and clean. Joker is chaotic and scribbly, doesn't give a fuck.

I would imagine if he were to have any tattoos they'd look like they were drawn by a four year old.

The single purple glove is shit (and the cheap material makes it look like it came from a K-Mart Halloween costume), the tattoos are terrible as tattoos but not an awful idea overall, but the basic outlines of the design kind of remind me of a cross between Conrad Veidt and the Grant Morrison Bowie-inspired Joker, and you could do a hell of a lot worse than that. Plus, the metal teeth read to me not so much as a grill (as everyone's been referring to it) as Phantom of the Paradise...

they could get away with all of this if not for the 'damaged' tattoo

When he said he was gaining weight for the role I didn't realize it was in bad tattoos and grills.

I still like Mystery Men

Last time I caught some of it I was struck by how incredibly long it was.

Cassanova Frankenstein is one of my alltime favorite comedy names, second only to Arsenio Billingham.

I never actually saw Mystery Men, which is odd considering how much I like the cast

It's not bad and it has some laughs but it doesn't hold a candle to its source material.

Come to think of it, this era of wacky comic adaptations might be the prime time for Burden to start a push for a Flaming Carrot film.
