The dude from The Fall, when he shaves, looks a lot like the dude from Gossip Girl

What's Adrian Lyne up to?

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 February 2015 01:07 (eleven years ago)

he also looks a little bargain-basement Jaime Lannister

years ago a bunch of my coworkers got tix for a free screening of twilight through work, my friend & i sat together & without really meaning to basically riffed the entire movie to a coworker who still says to this day that it's the only way he could have survived

i have a feeling 50 Shades will exist in the same pantheon

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 6 February 2015 02:28 (eleven years ago)

I would enjoy attending and MST3K'ing this with ilxors.

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 6 February 2015 03:03 (eleven years ago)

y do these two hate each other

Treeship, Friday, 6 February 2015 03:09 (eleven years ago)

honestly, after that article, i'd rather watch a documentary about this press tour than the actual movie. i like the idea of people sabotaging themselves. in the documentary they would gain self-insight by doing this

Treeship, Friday, 6 February 2015 03:13 (eleven years ago)

werner herzog would direct it. he'd guide them to the insight.

Treeship, Friday, 6 February 2015 03:14 (eleven years ago)

Would love to hear Herzog narrate the words "Dakota Johnson".

managed to avoid the trailer until the lego one; that is a terrible terrible terrible cover of crazy in love

the plight of y0landa (forksclovetofu), Friday, 6 February 2015 15:12 (eleven years ago)

Is it a cover when it's the same artist

da croupier, Friday, 6 February 2015 15:17 (eleven years ago)

i should be clear that my wife isn't keeping me away from her girls night out because they're all going to take this seriously. pretty sure none of them were actually able to finish the book - they're going to smuggle booze in and lol, for sure.

da croupier, Friday, 6 February 2015 15:22 (eleven years ago)

This book sold a bazillion copies, but I wonder how many were able to make it through. Like, the "Twilight" books were apparently garbage, but I know people who still plowed through, guilty-pleasure style. But my understanding is that these books are truly, truly POS express.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 February 2015 15:31 (eleven years ago)

i am man enough to admit that i slogged through about 100 pages of the book before giving up

however i am embarrassed to admit that after seeing the trailer, it was the first time i've ever seen a film adaptation of a book i read look EXACTLY how i constructed it in my imagination. not the sex scenes, but just like the sets/locations etc were such a photocopy of my mental image that it was jarring

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

piscesx, Friday, 6 February 2015 16:02 (eleven years ago)

Well, if Beyonce attached her name to it, then clearly the movie is perfect.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 6 February 2015 16:15 (eleven years ago)

“They want two?… How much will that cost?... Okay, and what safety measures do we have in place?… And they’ll go via Suez?… How safe is Ben Sudan?... And when do they arrive in Darfur?... Okay, let’s do it. Keep me abreast of progress.” He hangs up.

Somehow they found a way to make Crazy in Love depressing

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 6 February 2015 17:02 (eleven years ago)

The opening of the trailer looks like it's going to be a film about a death

walid foster dulles (man alive), Friday, 6 February 2015 17:03 (eleven years ago)

They should've cast Mark Cuban.
