I believe they're just hot unproduced scripts floating around Hollywood. There were a few legendary scripts that circulated for maybe ten years (that Will Smith superhero movie, and that Jodi Foster film where Mel Gibson plays with a puppet) because no one knew how to make them.

This morning at 2.30am my (landline) phone rang. My husband was on shift so I panicked a bit and ran to answer it, and it was one of those robo-voiced messages from when someone texts your landline. As near as I can remember the message was:

Seth can't make international calls but he wanted me to say thank you for your message.
This is Jonathan. Thanks for listening. UYD4L.

i've kind of been losing my UYD faith. it was a number of things. the long november hiatus. two episodes in a row with rape jokes. jonathan kind of phoning it in more than ever. and then the sci-ti thing in the last episode just slayed me.

what was the second rape joke one? i've been bored by the last few episodes

during the live show they did some kind of back and forth about how seth "blacked out back there" and they ran with that, as if the concept that seth would be blacked out drunk and raped by people was funny. i wasn't feeling that.

and you know, obviously it was jonathan egging that on, taking it there. seth gives him 5 million free passes because they're friends, which i can understand, but, i dunno, i dunno if it's that plus other stuff too? i agree with the bored feeling - it took me a lot longer to finish the last few episodes than normal. i think i haven't even finished the latest one. just sorta forgot about it.

oh ok i remember that. i don't like the live shows, except i liked that one that was the first this year, with seth's mc hammer review, i think that was live? jonathan hasn't told any good stories in a while. i've been just spacing out listening to them. there is nothing good to listen to and i drive so much!

well maybe on the one before that i liked it, i have them all out of order. for some reason i like any time they talk about cars and safety.

this show feels like something from the very distant past
