how's 30 sec stories coming along?

still working on it but at much slower pace. each one takes me forever and i'm starting to get pissed at myself when i can't make a better visual accompaniment. i know i should just put up some of the other ones with a blank black bg or whatever but it feels like too much of a defeat. i want to eventually get 30 stories up total (at 15 now, with 3 more ready to go), but it will probably take me a while.

thanks! commissions are sometimes fun because of the restraints. this one had to begin and end on just the words "Seven on Seven" in the middle, because I think they're getting a few other GIF people to do animations similarly, so they'll be able to loop and transition into each other seamlessly. pretty cool. wish i could go see the event but i think it's $2302342340 to attend or something around there

yeah for sure, you can adjust the length of any individual frame in photoshop!

what's the most frames you've used in a single animated gif?

Like that basketball one up there, I lost count.

i had the same problem with gif exploder when i tried to count. it looks like it's at least 400?

i think i've made some with around 99? i post them on tumblr, and tumblr seems to have issues when gifs have around 60+ frames, and also gifs with that many frames are usually large filesizes and i try to keep things under 2MB since that's the tumblr limit

but really there's nothing to stop you from making gifs with a thousand frames except for practical things like processor speeds and acceptable filesizes

I'm kind of frustrated that I am now really into making gifs but I am never going to actually be good at it. I lack both the talent and the patience.
