Seen up to episode 19 now. Liking it more.

Jeff looks so much like British comedian Greg Davies.

Like how they kept up the creepy mascot.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 28 December 2014 03:49 (eleven years ago)

The stuff about the Dean's Dalmatian fixation was funny. But the best thing was the keytar with the screaming samples.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 28 December 2014 19:29 (eleven years ago)

annie's "no" scream is amazing

(曇り) (clouds), Sunday, 28 December 2014 19:33 (eleven years ago)

That joke about Paul Giamatti was a bit too cruel though.

Robert Adam Gilmour, Sunday, 28 December 2014 20:08 (eleven years ago)

Like how they kept up the creepy mascot.

The show thrives on recurring gags, so you should often be delighted.

two weeks pass...

This picture looks so empty and it makes me sad. The cast has really thinned out.

Frederik B, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:08 (eleven years ago)

That promo pic makes me want to actively avoid the show.

Let me help you out Charlie XCX fan (DJP), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:37 (eleven years ago)

I was looking forward to this. Now I'm not.

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:48 (eleven years ago)

Abed totally bringing the false joy.

This is really the last season, right? Gilliam Jacobs has a new show happening somewhere.

Don A Henley And Get Over It (C. Grisso/McCain), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:51 (eleven years ago)

i like everyone in that picture and am looking forward to the show but it definitely feels like a bummer that they're down to 4 of the original 7 core study group cast members.

some dude, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:51 (eleven years ago)

i genuinely don't think this season would be happening if Abed had said "five seasons and a movie" in that one episode.

some dude, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:52 (eleven years ago)

Does the Yahoo thing cost money?

jmm, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:54 (eleven years ago)

xp that's very true

Also, I'll restate what I said previously. No Shirley, no credibility.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:55 (eleven years ago)

Yahoo is ad supported afaik.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 21:56 (eleven years ago)

Dan Harmon has just said, that as long as people like it, he will keep on doing it, up to season 20 or something. In a way, that was how it always should have been. The show is about communities, the insularity of the study group always made them seem like a bunch of assholes. But it's still sad :(

Frederik B, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 22:01 (eleven years ago)

According to the promo, Professor Slater is back:

https://screen.yahoo.com/community/

Which...yeah, that was a funny run in season 1. But as a full cast member?

Montgomery Burns' Jazz (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 22:01 (eleven years ago)

i mean...she presumably still works at the school where the show takes place, they're not bending time and space or anything.

some dude, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 22:09 (eleven years ago)

why didn't they just shoot a promo pic with the new study group members? they have new people right?

linda cardellini (zachlyon), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 22:48 (eleven years ago)

if so, the audience don't know them yet, so wouldn't feel warm and fuzzy to see them in a photo

i like everyone in that picture and am looking forward to the show but it definitely feels like a bummer that they're down to 4 of the original 7 core study group cast members.

the cast was always intended to shift and change if they made it past year 3 - it's the weird embattled nature of the production that's kept it so consistent

bob seger's silver bullet gland (sic), Tuesday, 13 January 2015 23:48 (eleven years ago)

reminds me of the pictures for the cinemax season of sctv when they were down to just flaherty, martin, levy and short

da croupier, Tuesday, 13 January 2015 23:56 (eleven years ago)

trailer singlehandedly renews my interest in the show tbh

DJP, Tuesday, 3 March 2015 20:20 (eleven years ago)

I will watch it, but I will miss Yvette SO MUCH.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 3 March 2015 20:40 (eleven years ago)

trailer was good. do we have to pay for yahoo! screen?

you can buy your hair if it won't grow (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 3 March 2015 20:56 (eleven years ago)

It's ad supported, so only with your time. Glad I discovered there's a Yahoo Screen app for the Roku so I can actually peep this shit on a television.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 3 March 2015 21:02 (eleven years ago)

not available outside the US

IHeartMedia, the giant broadcaster formerly known as Clear Channel, (stevie), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 08:07 (eleven years ago)

xp thanks for the heads-up, just got a Roku recently so that's great

Nhex, Wednesday, 4 March 2015 14:42 (eleven years ago)

not sure what sort of shady backroom contract adds a new application to my Sony Blu-ray player, but there's no yahoo! screen ;_;

you can buy your hair if it won't grow (Sufjan Grafton), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 14:48 (eleven years ago)

no Yahoo Screen app for ps3 fffuuuuu

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 19:54 (eleven years ago)

yeah, I think my blu-ray player is basically a PS3 without the ability to play games

you can buy your hair if it won't grow (Sufjan Grafton), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 21:13 (eleven years ago)

i am old & need to watch tv on my tv

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 21:28 (eleven years ago)

They'll probably release one for the PS3 sooner or later. I love my Roku, though, and think everyone should have one. :)

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 4 March 2015 21:36 (eleven years ago)

i love t0rrentz

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 21:48 (eleven years ago)

Are you watching things your torrent on your tv? Because you said you like to watch tv ON YOUR TV. :P

Johnny Fever, Wednesday, 4 March 2015 21:59 (eleven years ago)

:P

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Wednesday, 4 March 2015 22:22 (eleven years ago)

i guess this is back now, does anybody still care?

Clay, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 05:28 (eleven years ago)

Considering the thread has been revived twice already this year, I'd say yes.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 06:20 (eleven years ago)

def watching first 2 tonight. I'd forgotten.

Team Foxcatcherwatcher (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 17 March 2015 14:44 (eleven years ago)

What kind of promotion is Yahoo giving this? I haven't seen anything outside of this thread about the new season

Is It Any Wonder I'm Not the (President Keyes), Tuesday, 17 March 2015 16:35 (eleven years ago)

…. wow – the power of words ! (Øystein), Tuesday, 17 March 2015 17:18 (eleven years ago)

i have a Sony box that allows me to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. shows on TV, so it bums me out that it doesn't have any Yahoo capability to pay this, but w/e, i'll watch Community on my laptop if i have to.

watched the first episode this morning and there were a few laugh out loud moments, as expected there were meta jokes about the cast changes but the gag about Shirley was hysterical.

some dude, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 20:01 (eleven years ago)

in same boat. will hdmi to a TV for communal viewing, however.

Team Foxcatcherwatcher (Sufjan Grafton), Tuesday, 17 March 2015 20:44 (eleven years ago)

The email montage was pretty funny.

©Oz Quiz© (Adam Bruneau), Tuesday, 17 March 2015 22:36 (eleven years ago)

Despite the one bit of Shirley, she's sorely missed. :(

2nd ep better than the first, but even with my incredibly low expectations for this season I'm having a hard time enjoying it.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 23:12 (eleven years ago)

Also, re: the first episode, they must just assume anyone watching is already familiar with the show and isn't just coming in blind. Because none of that would make any sense at all to a first time viewer. I had a hard enough time with it as someone who's seen all five previous seasons.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 23:14 (eleven years ago)

I almost feel like Harmon is hard-trolling everyone who demanded a sixth season by giving them one.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 March 2015 23:33 (eleven years ago)

marissa mayer should put herself in this show as a new castmember

iatee, Wednesday, 18 March 2015 02:13 (eleven years ago)

I definitely liked the first two eps (especially that Shirley cameo), but I think part of the love is that I already kinda love Paget and Keith so it's easy. And it doesn't feel quite as shaky as last year since they're not awkwardly dealing with Pierce and Glover leaving. Britta actually getting a decent story where she gets to do things! (also nice to see Lesley Ann Warren too)

Nhex, Wednesday, 18 March 2015 04:29 (eleven years ago)

yeah same here, Paget Brewster and Keith David are worthy additions.

some dude, Wednesday, 18 March 2015 12:14 (eleven years ago)

Can't wait for a full episode of "The Butcher & The Baker" tbqh.
