I just want something as good as Green Mountain or Desert Pepper, why is that so hard???

fgti jaq, it's chinavision! (Stevie D(eux)), Tuesday, 16 December 2014 17:15 (eleven years ago)

I enjoyed their triple ginger beer and their Porchetta Pork Roast is very good, easy to make, but a bit expensive. On the not-so-great side, we tried cooking up their frozen salmon and it came out very fishy and dry.

three weeks pass...

The new sriracha and garlic barbeque sauce is pretty bitchin, had a sample of it on meatballs yesterday and grabbed a bottle before i even finished.

musically, Thursday, 8 January 2015 18:21 (eleven years ago)

That sounds good!

Not good: triple chocolate mini bundt cakes. Taste like a cocoa-flavored fart.

pelvic slang (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Thursday, 8 January 2015 18:50 (eleven years ago)

We've become big consumers of the Brioche Toasts, perfect for cheese and crackers!

single-serve porcini mushroom lasagna in the white box: super bland and way too much sauce and has a homogeneous mucous-like texture
beef tenderloin bites: YUM CITY U.S.A.

the giant peruvian inca corn rules. tastes like a cross between corn nuts and fritos.

mitt fleekwood (get bent), Friday, 9 January 2015 00:44 (eleven years ago)

serving size: 1/3 cup. sooo easy to gorge on these tho.

oh yeah, and the honey sesame almonds are classic and addictive. sesame is my favorite seed, so underrated in american culture.

mitt fleekwood (get bent), Friday, 9 January 2015 01:00 (eleven years ago)

Yeah, my wife keeps getting those Inca Corns. Kinda somewhere between beer nuts and Fritos, but in a good way, probably slightly better for you too.

Free Me's Electric Trumpet (Moodles), Friday, 9 January 2015 01:12 (eleven years ago)

the captain beefheart of personal hygiene (soda), Friday, 9 January 2015 01:14 (eleven years ago)

I can't stop eating those ether but I don't really love them!

y kant max read (Stevie D(eux)), Friday, 9 January 2015 03:32 (eleven years ago)

sriracha and garlic

but sriracha has garlic in it

earthface, windface and fireface (Aimless), Friday, 9 January 2015 04:31 (eleven years ago)

they should call it "sriracha and more garlic"

mitt fleekwood (get bent), Friday, 9 January 2015 08:03 (eleven years ago)

I can't stop eating those ether

i can't stop eating ether either!

mitt fleekwood (get bent), Friday, 9 January 2015 08:03 (eleven years ago)

the sauce has minced garlic bits in it. i'm a garlic fiend so i love it.

musically, Friday, 9 January 2015 19:05 (eleven years ago)

The gingerbread pancake mix is pretty good - I like that it just needs water

this is soooo good

k3vin k., Monday, 26 January 2015 20:51 (eleven years ago)

i need to not buy those because i could very easily eat six of them at once.

no fucks given or implied (get bent), Monday, 26 January 2015 20:55 (eleven years ago)

i just ate the entire box

k3vin k., Monday, 26 January 2015 20:56 (eleven years ago)

!

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:21 (eleven years ago)

yeah i would do the same

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:21 (eleven years ago)

Unquestionably.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:22 (eleven years ago)

I've never even considered not eating an entire box of those, damn

musically, Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:25 (eleven years ago)

It's probably more like...put the first 6 in the oven, heat, eat. A couple of hours later, think, man those were really good...and I still have 6 more....

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:26 (eleven years ago)

put them all on a huge skewer & pick them off one by one in my pyjamas

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 27 January 2015 05:32 (eleven years ago)

Trader Joe's biscotti - the big ones in a bag, almond and chocolate - are the worst baked goods I've tasted in at least a decade. Like compressed sawdust slices with the occasional flavorless almond, a stripe of brown paint on the bottom to represent chocolate.

io has clearly been spying on me.

I'm eating a maple walnut blondie right now...mmm

And apparently the raspberry macaron cake has been discontinued :( you can still buy bite sized pieces as part of the sweet bites box so I hope it comes back randomly like it has done before. Different stores seem to tell me that it's either discontinued or seasonal, hoping it's the latter.

musically, Wednesday, 28 January 2015 04:25 (eleven years ago)

biscotti are pretty easy to make for yourself. the ingredients are simple and the process is pretty straightforward. the hardest thing about them is you need to bake them twice.

Aimless, Wednesday, 28 January 2015 04:33 (eleven years ago)

Whole Foods' biscotti (sold in their bakery, not the prepackaged stuff) is some of the best biscotti I've had.

musically, Wednesday, 28 January 2015 17:36 (eleven years ago)

okay so you know how TJ's produce flat out sucks, right? Right??? WELL, have I got news for you!! They have these fancy oranges called Sky Valley Heirloom Navel Oranges at the very unfancy price of $3.99 for a 4lb bag just like all their other oranges. They are the sweetest juciest most amazing oranges I have ever had in my life, oh my god, idk if I've ever even just bought oranges for eating before as an adult but these are INSANE

also the Inner Bean snacks are just weird

can't wait to try this one

Jeff, Tuesday, 3 February 2015 16:33 (eleven years ago)

the green curry shrimp gyoza are awesome. i made my own sweet chili sauce for dipping and they were even better after that.

no fucks given or implied (get bent), Wednesday, 4 February 2015 01:29 (eleven years ago)

and there's a new flavor of frozen naan now, with paneer. it's in my freezer -- haven't tried it yet.

no fucks given or implied (get bent), Wednesday, 4 February 2015 01:30 (eleven years ago)

Naan masala or something? Had it, pretty good but a little onion-y.

http://www.whatsgoodattraderjoes.com/2015/02/trader-joes-fireworks-chocolate-bar.html

Oh man, I've had a non-TJs bar like this and it was amazing, hope this one's as good.

pelvic slang (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Wednesday, 4 February 2015 06:54 (eleven years ago)

not crazy bout that masala naan (the garlic one is the best of the three) but the vegetable samosas are delish. does tj's sell tamarind paste?

no fucks given or implied (get bent), Monday, 9 February 2015 02:01 (eleven years ago)

i bought the fireworks chocolate bar and ate two pieces like i normally eat chocolate, by chewing it, and it was tasty but didn't seem that special. then i was told that you have to let it melt on your tongue and it distinguished itself as different from other chocolate bars. recommended for sensory-overload enthusiasts!

groundless round (La Lechera), Tuesday, 17 February 2015 15:05 (eleven years ago)

i think maybe I'm the only person who finds pop rocks profoundly unpleasant

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 17 February 2015 15:12 (eleven years ago)

oh i'm sure you're not the only person!

groundless round (La Lechera), Tuesday, 17 February 2015 15:18 (eleven years ago)

We tried that chocolate bar and I couldn't eat more than a square or two in one sitting. It was so weird.

about a dozen duck supporters (carl agatha), Tuesday, 17 February 2015 15:28 (eleven years ago)

I loved it. Could eat 37 of them.

Jeff, Tuesday, 17 February 2015 15:52 (eleven years ago)

I like em, but I usually just have two squares. The Chuao Fireworks bar, on the other hand, I could eat in one sitting.

I've been loyal to the garlic hummus for years but decided to switch it up last night and get the "Mediterranean Hummus" ("creamy and smooth").

it is so abhorrently salty that i'm going to return it tonight (a TJ's first for me)

and i love salty stuff!

gr8080, Wednesday, 18 February 2015 14:54 (eleven years ago)

aw man i love the meditteranean!

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 21 February 2015 03:55 (eleven years ago)

i've never noticed the saltiness tbh

difficult-difficult lemon-difficult (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 21 February 2015 03:55 (eleven years ago)

I like that hummus but the Alton Brown recipe that is the first google result for 'hummus recipe' is so easy and good that I stopped buying it.

you can buy your hair if it won't grow (Sufjan Grafton), Saturday, 21 February 2015 05:58 (eleven years ago)

it could have been a bad batch

also i am ashamed to report that my resolve crumbled and i did not return it to the store but instead ate it in tiny bites until the container was empty

gr8080, Monday, 23 February 2015 18:47 (eleven years ago)

one month passes...

Coconut Creamer: dafuq IS this?? There's no fat in this so it's thick but not really ~creamy~ the way I expect creamer to make my coffee. Also you need to use a SHIT TON of it for it to actually lighten and thicken your coffee. Also it is super grainy once you get to the bottom of the coffee cup.

gybe horses (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 2 April 2015 13:25 (eleven years ago)

http://www.whatsgoodattraderjoes.com/2015/04/trader-joes-dark-chocolate-covered.html Joke, but they should make them because it has all the things that are good in the world.
