Like the thinness really does make a huge difference in adapting to the size, it becomes comfortable very quickly.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:02 (eleven years ago)

iphone 6 from an aesthetic standpoint is def a huge step down, not that thats nearly the most important thing abt a phone but kinda weird from a company thats been historically so detail oriented w this stuff

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:04 (eleven years ago)

Feel like when it's so big but also so thin you're just not gonna have a lot of room for aesthetic detail

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:06 (eleven years ago)

Like it's just a screen + laser curlicues on the metal

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:06 (eleven years ago)

dont have one in front of me rite now but iirc things which offended my delicate sensibilities: how it bulges out from the sides instead of gently sloping away like the early iphones/pods, the visible antena lines all over the back, the raised camera lens, generally looks like its made out of clay

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:18 (eleven years ago)

the metal they used gives me no particular uplifting vibes either, whole phone feels kinda cheap, kinda baseline

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:23 (eleven years ago)

Agree that the part-glass back on the 5 was a great touch

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:25 (eleven years ago)

4 had the glass back m8

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:27 (eleven years ago)

5 also had glass on the back................... m8

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:28 (eleven years ago)

But yeah 4 is probably my fav iphone design (even though I never had one)

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:28 (eleven years ago)

oh the lil part at the top and bottom did not realize that was glass tbh

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:30 (eleven years ago)

imo tho putting stuff that can shatter where its not nes is not a great idea

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:30 (eleven years ago)

i like the 5 better than the 4, 4 looks a lil chunky imo, my fav ever tho is the old touch

feels so nice in the hand

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:32 (eleven years ago)

obv easier to make it thin cause of not needing phone components still v dope tho

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:33 (eleven years ago)

yeah iPod touch has always been the winner heft/thickness wise

Spirit of Match Game '76 (silby), Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:33 (eleven years ago)

Curved metal back of the old Touch was very nice, I had one

, Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:33 (eleven years ago)

It was stainless steel right

I actually liked the 4s aesthetically more than the 5/5s. The 5's proportions always looked a little funny to me.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:39 (eleven years ago)

I had the white one and I liked the way the metal sides looked on the white.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:40 (eleven years ago)

The curves are slightly doofy. I like the way the face looks though -- pure blackness when off, pure screen when on

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:44 (eleven years ago)

always been the winner heft/thickness wise

I may be overthinking this.

Eric H., Thursday, 23 October 2014 21:46 (eleven years ago)

i have my 5c now and think it's the best looking and feeling iphone. the 4s was a great looking thing too but quite vulnerable to damage.

Not beveling out, beveling in. There was some empty space in there

btw they can swap the glass on an iPhone 6 in store now, takes like 45 minutes. I just kept checking for open reservations as we rolled past Chicago suburbs and got in

Something is weird with the photo above, does not look like mine. Finish is too dull, missing parts.

my jaw left (Hurting 2), Friday, 24 October 2014 04:11 (eleven years ago)

Must be a prototype or something. Tineye says the image first appeared in May.

Who plays two hours of squash at dinner time

stet, Friday, 24 October 2014 10:23 (eleven years ago)

It was different then. never forget.

pplains, Friday, 24 October 2014 11:44 (eleven years ago)

Had the 6 for a few weeks now and I definitely preferred the 5 as far as how it feels in the hand and the total one thumb screen coverage. 6 feels cheaper, but heavier/denser things usually give the illusion of something feeling more "expensive". The bigger screen is really not a huge draw for me. If there was a 5 sized like the 6, I would be all about it.

circa1916, Friday, 24 October 2014 12:13 (eleven years ago)

6 like 5 rather.

circa1916, Friday, 24 October 2014 12:14 (eleven years ago)

Who plays squash? I thought it was something people did in the movies.

messed up

lag∞n, Friday, 24 October 2014 14:31 (eleven years ago)

_etaeoe: did you work for s1mpl3?_

Yeah

Cool, happy customer here. For what it's worth.

Agree with circa. The one-handed thing is super-annoying. Trying to navigate/search for something in Spotify with one hand is really frustrating. Maybe devs will migrate the menus to the bottom? The double-tap-the-home-button thing only works for one selection. If the menus for an app are in the upper-left corner, it means every tap takes three taps (two on the home, one on the menu).

lag∞n, Friday, 24 October 2014 17:09 (eleven years ago)

then thinking: a cheap 5s? guess I'll wait & see. I love the form factor of my 5 so much though.

droit au butt (Euler), Friday, 24 October 2014 17:12 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 24 October 2014 17:15 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Friday, 24 October 2014 17:15 (eleven years ago)

wld rather have fancy clothes signify my socioeconomic status

lag∞n, Friday, 24 October 2014 17:16 (eleven years ago)

Location of the lock button on the 6 is very bad. Also I need a case bc it's slippery and too thin. Visible antenna lines are a weird touch. Mostly the lock button is a real problem.
