Except Dave. I know Dave had to be there in order for the show to function, but I never liked him.

Dave (and Dave Sr.) was (are) responsible for one of my top 5 Happy Endings things - the "Mr. Rose was the name of my father." "But... that's me." bit.

Dave's dance at the start of the very last episode, when everyone disappears from the kitchen, is amazing

ok i've been out of the loop with this show (and happy endings) ... am i the only one more than a little FREAKED OUT at how much wayans jr takes after his dad?? holy moly. at first i was like dang damon wayans is looking good these days. i mean obviously i am an idiot. but really. it is astonishing.

yeah Dave started out being the archetypal Male Sitcom Lead Who Is Not Actually Funny and then got really really funny, partly because they played off of how lame he is so well

Dave's 1/16th Navajo schtick during the Thanksgiving episode was amazing

Ross was a crap character in Friends until they made his inherent lameness the joke in later seasons. See Dave as kind of the same

The Pally one is one of the funniest ever iirc.

It was quite good. I was trying not to just completely lose it at my desk.

Watched the first two episodes of Benched. Coupe is as lovely as ever but it's got that familiar USA veneer of mediocrity. Hope it gets better and they give Maria Bamford more to do.
Marry Me pilot was a better start, glad it's doing OK ratings-wise for NBC.

like, half of the Happy Endings cast have left their post-HE shows (Wayans, Pally) or their shows have been cancelled (Coupe)

though there's still the other three, but honestly save Wilson, who I also liked, the other two who have work lined up were the weakest so I'm fine with a new, streamlined Happy Endings with just Wayans, Coupe, and Pally

I realize I'm getting far too ahead of myself here

If anyone thinks that series Elisha Cuthbert is on will last beyond a few airings, they're mistaken. And I haven't been following Marry Me at all, but I'd have to think Casey Wilson could pull double duty since her husband's the boss and also created Happy Endings.

I haven't seen Zachery Knighton since the last episode of Happy Endings.

As one commenter pointed out, this might just be the day that Happy Endings shows up on streaming platforms.

It warms my heart to think that Wayans and Pally left their much more successful shows to do Happy Endings again

As for the show appearing on streaming platforms, it is, or was, on Netflix, at least here in Canada. I know because I tried to convert some friends with a few episodes, they weren't into it :((((

shoot, didn't know Wayans Jr. was leaving New Girl again. bummer.

Pally was one of the few revolving door supporting players on The Mindy Project who really fit into the show and was used well, shame to see him go. and New Girl w/ Wayans is so great, bummed that he's doing too. they better both be doing lots of good shit in the near future to justify all this.

Marry Me silently reappeared on the schedule a few weeks ago. I like it enough, but it's probably not coming back.

where do you live? they aired the last 4 produced episodes in the UK but they haven't aired at all in the US.

in the US - i didn't see the eps on air but I think I saw them get added to my cable On Demand service

Pally was on @midnight Monday and it looked like he'd neither been working recently nor had any plans to do so in the near future. Suspect he hadn't even showered in a couple days.

now with the mindy vanity project canceled AP is truly outta work :/

today i was thinking abt how if they remade friends today one of the characters wld have to be black and was wondering which one and then i realized happy endings had already answered this qn w/ the only obv solution.

So who is Brad? Is he Chandler or Ross? Because Max is obviously Joey.
