when kittens attack

kingfish, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:12 (nineteen years ago)

but my doggie is a sweetie. she's never bit anyone, she's real cuddly.

I could and do say this about my two dogs, too.

luna, Monday, 7 May 2007 19:20 (nineteen years ago)

i just don't want like a pit bull or something that - if i fuck up as a dog parent - could actually like end someone's life or something.

That is a very sensible thing to consider for dog owners. I am proud of you & wish more people knew their own limitations & had those kind of smarts.

Here's DA PUPPIE:

EARS!!! His ears won't be docked.

There's some chest puppies in this one, too.

Abbott, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:20 (nineteen years ago)

Oilyrags, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:22 (nineteen years ago)

lauren, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:23 (nineteen years ago)

pits have the best puppy bellies.

lauren, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:23 (nineteen years ago)

He so does! Look how wide his shoulders are, that's a deep, sturdy ribcage!

Laurel, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:24 (nineteen years ago)

he's going to be one barrel-chested little guy.

lauren, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:26 (nineteen years ago)

Awwww, so sweet. I miss having Zero as a puppy - he was so cute and goofy, I could hardly stand it.

luna, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:32 (nineteen years ago)

I'm glad they made ear docking illegal in the UK, it's so cruel and ugly.

Abbott, Monday, 7 May 2007 20:33 (nineteen years ago)

is he a mix? or full breed?

Either eay, he looks like a good snuggle hound.

kingfish, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:07 (nineteen years ago)

Full breed, 7th gen pruple ribbon UKC creds, and cute rompy lover!

I have a sweet pit/basset blend, who just looks like a stumpy, fat tailed, slightly jowly pit:

Abbott, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:11 (nineteen years ago)

Oh good lord, (s)he's adorable! Lookit those little legs! I want to hang out with your dog, Abbott.

luna, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:25 (nineteen years ago)

He's awesome! Named Snitter. But he was chained up in a tiny bakyard for 2 years of his life so he never learned how to play: like catch, frisbee, or anything. His former owner gave him a weird tattoo on his inner thigh, too. Does anyone know how to teach a dog how to play after the two-year mark?

Abbott, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:27 (nineteen years ago)

oh my god where do pit bassets is made

TOMBOT, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:29 (nineteen years ago)

between in the furry loins of a miscegenating bitch?

remy bean, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:31 (nineteen years ago)

ha ha! stout little pitty basset mobile! with big ol pinknoses!

kingfish, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:33 (nineteen years ago)

I love his little short legs.

luna, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:48 (nineteen years ago)

Does he suffer from the usual problem of bassets, that of back issues in later years?

kingfish, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:49 (nineteen years ago)

Um, I have no idea, but I surely hope not. I give him lots of exercise & keep him healthy. He's ALL MUSCLE, too, so maybe that'll support his weirfness torso.

Abbott, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:51 (nineteen years ago)

Ok, now I want to marry Abbott, so I can have co-custody of Snitter and the bluepup.

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 00:56 (nineteen years ago)

The puppy is so cute!! Man, I want a dog. Stupid apartment building.

kingfish, Monday, 28 May 2007 00:39 (nineteen years ago)

That's the boxer mix? I would have expected less snout and more jowl. Still, quite the sweetheart.

Oilyrags, Monday, 28 May 2007 01:14 (nineteen years ago)

plenty of terrier, too

kingfish, Monday, 28 May 2007 01:39 (nineteen years ago)

love how the "what's the appeal??" thread has slowly become the local pit bull appreciation society.

Edward III, Monday, 28 May 2007 01:47 (nineteen years ago)

kingfish, Monday, 28 May 2007 05:10 (nineteen years ago)

three weeks pass...

Lady is bringing over a staffy terrier for me to meet and possibly adopt after work tonight. Landlord is hesitant, for wahtever landlord reason, so i'm having him come by to meet the dog, too.

We'll see.

kingfish, Friday, 22 June 2007 14:26 (nineteen years ago)

!!!!

Good luck!

Jaq, Friday, 22 June 2007 15:17 (nineteen years ago)

grown or pup?

Oilyrags, Friday, 22 June 2007 16:21 (nineteen years ago)

grown. 4 years old.

pups run around too much and try to eat your feets while you sleep.

kingfish, Friday, 22 June 2007 18:18 (nineteen years ago)

dammit, landlord is being a stick in the mud about this, so they took her back with them to Gresham. i have to work on him for a coupla more days, it seems.

kingfish, Saturday, 23 June 2007 01:32 (nineteen years ago)

i dunno how it is where you are but you don't actually need your landlords permission to have pets here. even if you sign a lease saying "no pets" they still can't do nuthin'. or are you asctually a decent person that cares what your landlord says? if so that's very nice of you.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Saturday, 23 June 2007 01:44 (nineteen years ago)

my lease said that i had to get written or emailed permission to have a pet. And my landlord/ex-roommate has done favors and extended certain polite things, so i still keep a good relationship.

but i still want a dog, dammit. MOre work left to do, i guess.

kingfish, Saturday, 23 June 2007 02:48 (nineteen years ago)

Tho landlord was not actually here to meet the dog, which is what i had set up to do, since i figured it would be far harder for him to say no when he's under attack by hound snouts.

kingfish, Saturday, 23 June 2007 02:49 (nineteen years ago)

I was going through the park carrying some groceries home yesterday when I saw a woman relaxing on a bench with what appeared to be two guide-dogs-in-training lolling at her feet. As I passed, one of them started wagging its tail and even stood up to let me know how glad it was to see me.

PITTY GUIDE DOG PEOPLE!

This being the internet, I believe the appropriate expression is 'squee.'

Oilyrags, Friday, 29 June 2007 11:33 (eighteen years ago)

SHOULD I GO TO THIS Y/N
