I think the watch is going to mystify the hxc nerd segment for a while b/c it doesn't "do enough"

the watch just looks like a watch to me, if I saw someone wearing it on the subway I wouldn't notice

this is true but imo what communicates that luxury is how they make extremely functional things and if this watch isnt good for much its not going to sell cause as jewelry its no good, the apple brand isnt going to be effective if theyre not actually embodying it

I was wondering if they're going to have famous watchmakers design "faces" for it for extra $

I mean I don't want to go overboard on stanning for this watch b4 it even properly exists, it might not become a huge category for them next year or maybe ever, but it looks thoughtful, tactile, personal, and attractive, and you can customize the watch face, come on. I'll be interested to see how long it takes for them to drive down the bottom price point on the watch and what their strategy is for that, but I dunno if I'll be able to wait that long to get one.

OTM, I've seen displays and shops for VERTU which make 'luxury phones'

yeah I mean at the truly high end you can get some pretty attractive complication watches in the $300,000-$1M+ range

friend of mines dad owns a million dollar watch plus a bunch of $100k+ ones, grody

part of the problem might be that it's too cheap at $350, even poor people can afford it

Did you see the battery life on the 6+ on Apple.com, looks good

yeah but i dont want that huge phone, they cld make the normal one like 1/3 thicker and triple the battery life and people who fuck w their phones all day wld love it

or people who just want their charge to last for a few days w/o worrying about it
