thanks for the support and uhhh, minding the personal crisis in the clusterfuck thread. to wrap up some ilx lore, i used to post as burt_stanton, which was like 6 years into this mess. by that time my mind had gone completely out the window, which might come as a surprise to you all, and there was an actual person underneath all that crap. like, things were so bad for me that i was afraid sweaters were wussy!! like, what the hell is that? i don't even know where all that stuff came from. but i'm going to get this shit checked out because i'm done with this. anyway, i think i've had more than my fair share of time bleating about my problems.

contenderizer i understand that i was obnoxious to you yesterday but so many people have told you that your bravura indifference to concision and love of the tangential makes for shit content

tldr not necessarily is a problem itself, there are posters like say fizzles who have made excellent essay-lenth posts, rather the sense that you will always go for the thickets, query the simplest and most transparent assertions etc etc

if you insist on being your own vanity publisher then at least contract yourself as editor

yeah the 'rapey' zing was cheap and not justifiable but it was of its time and obviously i was drunk when i posted that

a lot of my posting around that time is embarrassing in retrospect, facetious but not in a good way

tbh over time I've only grown to enjoy more posters

everyone who posted was completely otm, even when they appeared to contradict each other. it was remarkable really

the revival was fairly stupid given the cited thread was neither particularly lengthy, antagonistic or difficult to understand so hardly relevant for this thread

then again what is more endearing than a failure to grasp simple things? entire posting careers by ilxors finnish and nonfinnish alike have been founded on the never less than hilarious conceit of feigning incomprehension so grave as to be suggestive of neurological injury
