On March 27, 1999, 12 days after his 40th birthday, Fabio was involved in an accident in Busch Gardens Williamsburg, located in James City County, Virginia. Fabio rode in the first car of Apollo's Chariot, a roller coaster, during its first ride. During the rapid descent on the 210-foot drop after the lift hill, a goose collided with Fabio, leaving his nose covered in blood. The goose was killed during the drop and Fabio received a one-inch cut on his nose but no one else on the roller coaster was hurt.[

Several scenes in the movie make subtle hints at environmentally friendly themes, such as converting lowriders to run on biodiesel.[3] The film was also shot on an eco-friendly movie set, one of the first of its kind in San Francisco.[3] The cast and crew eliminated the use of water bottles, composting was done on set, and the art department allowed for green product placement in the film.[3] La Mission subsequently earned an Environmental Media Association (EMA) Green Seal Award in 2009 as the result of their production practices.[3]

Autechre seemed to have realized the stylistic dead end that they had arrived at. They gathered their gear, and with a single sigh, turned back around to the fork in the road. There they conjured, and through means unknown (how could one man's mind compass the creative monolith that is generated with Booth and Brown convene)created Confield, an album that was to experimental electronic music as Sun Ra was for jazz.

The December 2001 issue of Harper's Magazine included a speculative piece by writer Paul Limbert Allman in which he imagined Prof. Donald Barthelme to have orchestrated the 1986 attack on Dan Rather, citing passages in Barthelme's writing, including the phrase "What is the frequency?", a recurring character named Kenneth, and a short story about a pompous editor named Lather.

Other items called "cream"Many non-edible substances are called creams due merely to their consistency: shoe cream is runny, unlike waxy shoe polish; face cream is a cosmetic. There is generally no restriction on describing non-edible products as creams.

Prior to completion of Interstate 35, traffic was routed directly through town; generating significant sales revenue to many retailers which literally had a major highway running directly past their doors. In approximately 1975, the last portions of Interstate 35 were completed and all traffic finally started to move around (and not through) Faribault. On that same corridor through town, the White Sands Swimming Pool ("Minnesota's Largest Outdoor Swimming Pool") operated from 1964 to 1977. This swimming area is now the White Sands Dog Park...

Jeez Louise, I'm noticing a motif here:
After the Interstate Defense Highway System built Interstate 94 along the western edge of Fergus Falls in the late 1950s, population mobility increased dramatically, and high school graduates increasingly left the town to attend colleges in Morris, Fargo-Moorhead, or the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
