both of the threads nakhchivan started this week have turned out v well imo

wow, ILX really loves this nackchivan guy, i thought this board was better quality. what's his schtick, taking people down with cheap shots? gibbering on in cake-batter heavy prose about boring ideas that were said better a hundred years ago?

only thing i can think of is that people are easily seduced by power. side with the guy who takes power by bringing people down, who then props himself up with an aura of intelligence that doesn't seem to have any substance to it. personally i think the dude brings the quality of this board down, but i'm only one person.

of course who the hell am i to talk.

nakh is one of my favorite posters. but spectrum, i also think you're a good poster so i'm surprised that his shtick is so alienating to you. yes, there's some obscurantism going on - but he has eclectic interests and posts on provocative subjects. what more could one ask for in a poster? even his occasional rudeness seems more like a punk rock flip-off than any actual hostile sentiment. have you read ilafl? i think he played the pivotal role in establishing a beloved-to-me aesthetics of posting. like, look at his two most recent threads (on class + violence) and tell me that ilx isn't more interesting for having them.
