Just made one with a little less sugar and I definitely prefer it that way

I've been experimenting with making them with slightly darker rums, and it definitely changes the character. Like a lot of more tropical drinks, unfortunately, the sugar really adds up. Between the syrup and the alcohol, you may as well be drinking soda.
