cad: do you mean on the site proper? It's because we're on both www.ilxor.com and ilxor.com and the code treats those as two different sites (mostly for historical reasons that sometimes prove handy).

If you're logged in on eg ilxor.com and someone makes a link to www.ilxor.com, when you click it you'll get the logged out view. And vice versa.

It's like that one Monty Python sketch where sometimes they are on film and then they go through a door and are on tape.

While Search would be nice, it would be almost as good to be able to view all my bookmarked threads. (Same as clicking the Bookmarks link at the top or bottom of the web view).

Also I would gladly pay for the app again. I probably use it more than any other except email and maybe Threes.

could be solved if the links were coded relative rather than abosolute (ie leave off the hostname)

Thanks! One thing I could definitely do with the time to investigate is a fast way to get an NSAttributedString out of our limited subset of HTML. (There's a attributedStringWithHTML call, but it appears to spin up webkit in the background and takes forever. This needs to be incredibly quick as it'll be called for every message displayed). I can do it easily on Mac by applying Bold and Italic traits, but that's not supported on iOS. I've filed a radar and my plan's to wait for them to support that, as otherwise I can't see how to do it in any reasonable sort of time.

(I was also thinking I could store the NSAttributedStrings in the DB here and fire them straight at the client, but there doesn't seem to be a good serialisation of NSAttributedString that doesn't take a lot of work to deserialise anyway)

How are Zing Touch and Zing Lite differentiated?

Zing Lite is free, and I haven't updated since day dot, which means it works on the OG iPhone, but has fewfeatures. It has ads.

Zing Touch is pay-for, but has lots of features, including:

• it runs in the background/supports multitasking,
• it has a better composer
• it lets you customise the homescreen
• it has iPhone 5/5s support for the larger screens
• supports polls
• landscape support for composer
• has a dark mode and a serif font theme.
• It's betterer

Zing Touch (tm) will also:

• fix your parking tickets in certain jurisdictions
• get you a 10% discount when you buy rounds
• rate your excuses for being late to work on a 1-10 scale of believability
• find lost socks

Losing socks would be a better feature.

Also Zing Touch has a red trucker hat.

There is for reading - http://www.ilxor.com/ILX/BoardsXmlControllerServlet?stylesheet=mobile.xsl with no stylesheet gives you XML, same with the threads. Posting is a total mare, so if you want to do that let me know!

while we're talking imho itd be better to display full thread tiltes on multiple lines than abbreviate... often it's impossible to tell what the thread is even about

Thread titles have always looked like that to me on the last two ios versions
