Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (twelve years ago)

I want to adopt that locust tbh

, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (twelve years ago)

Maicon was a good call.

Colombia were really rumbled at the beginning. This crowd are amazing, usually worth a goal by themselves.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (twelve years ago)

omg nn that is O_O

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (twelve years ago)

wtf NN

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (twelve years ago)

ref called every minor infraction but did at little as possible to discourage them. surely one of the worst ways to manage a game.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (twelve years ago)

Argentina - Belgium and Costa Rica - Netherlands both won't be as fast as this but not as slow as FRA-GER either I bet

StanM, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (twelve years ago)

This is why COL lost. A HUMUNGOUS predatory beast landed on Rodriguez' arm after he scored

Million xps but can't get through ffs

world cup needs more lumps kicking out of flair players, excellent call

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (twelve years ago)

I'm sure it was working for the Brazilians

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (twelve years ago)

Am I cynical or the hugging Brazil gave to Hames are somewhat patronizing?

nostormo, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (twelve years ago)

Arg-Belgium will be realllly slow imo

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (twelve years ago)

ref was way too lenient -- he needed to hand a couple of yellow cards and things would've been pegged back a bit.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (twelve years ago)

Nostromo, agreed: Luiz seemed to enjoy that a tad too much.

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (twelve years ago)

@tejucole
Side-eye all the ladies and gentlemen offering to console, really console, James Rodríguez.

mookieproof, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (twelve years ago)

A couple of cards in the 1st half, towards the end.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (twelve years ago)

54 FOULS!!

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (twelve years ago)

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (twelve years ago)

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:05 (twelve years ago)

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:06 (twelve years ago)

pretty sure Neymar had himself carried off because he was shitting himself they were gonna equalize

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:06 (twelve years ago)

john wahey (NickB), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:07 (twelve years ago)

not sure what's wrong jim tbh

john wahey (NickB), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:08 (twelve years ago)

Watching replay after replay, still don't think that second was a free kick.

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:08 (twelve years ago)

let's all hope neymar really is dead

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (twelve years ago)

Dermot Corrigan @dermotmcorrigan
Neymar taken straight to hospital from stadium according to @AS_AGabilondo who says Brazilian media saying "it does not look good"

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (twelve years ago)

jesus
xp

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (twelve years ago)

it was definitely a free btw. Not a yellow

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (twelve years ago)

top stuff from sam allardyce's brazil.

Merdeyeux, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (twelve years ago)

Brazil are hateful.

Raccoon Tanuki, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (twelve years ago)

yeah it was a free kick, yellow was harsh in circs but consistent with ref being a homer, sorry for impugning Neymar's bottle and fingers crossed he's ok

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:11 (twelve years ago)

What's even thr point of Brazil going through without Neymar and Thiago tbf? Colombia better team in every aspect to me.

Raccoon Tanuki, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:12 (twelve years ago)

there's nothing wrong with Brazil really, Germany will probly do them given anything like an even playing field, but Rodriguez has had an exceptional tournament and it's hard to see it finish

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:13 (twelve years ago)

Not today they weren't
xp

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:13 (twelve years ago)

if one or two of James' team mates had stepped up they'd probly have won, thought Cuadrado was especially poor tonight

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:14 (twelve years ago)

yeah, he was a disaster

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:15 (twelve years ago)

Neymar's cd be a ruptured kidney

Germany had better waste them

which was retweeted by (imago), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:17 (twelve years ago)

whilst there have been better teams who i wd've prefered to win, eg Chile and Colombia, i'm still not really gettin the full-on Kill Brazil hysteria

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:18 (twelve years ago)

they're shite m8

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:20 (twelve years ago)

and yet here we are

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:20 (twelve years ago)

did anyone even spot fred on the pitch tonight?

john wahey (NickB), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:21 (twelve years ago)

he's shaved his moustache, i was sad

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:22 (twelve years ago)

brazil are big floppy turds

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:23 (twelve years ago)

Nothing against brazil, I just preffer the underdog.

nostormo, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:26 (twelve years ago)

Also, it would be nice to see the world cup given to someone new

nostormo, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:28 (twelve years ago)

Yeah they should give it to Germany

, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:28 (twelve years ago)

Which is new in a way..

nostormo, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:29 (twelve years ago)

Brazil got through because Chile and Colombia lack big game experience. The defending for the first Colombian goal was atrocious. Ditto Chile. Incredibly ugly goals.

They did control the game, then as soon as they got the 2nd Brazil (great free kick, and the tournament has lacked those) chose to sit back and give possession. All their performances are schizophrenic, to say the least.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:29 (twelve years ago)

I'm rooting for Brazil and Argentina tbh

Pray 4 Neymar

, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:31 (twelve years ago)

Germany should be heavy faves - lots of experience, lots of big tourney hurt.

No outstanding centre back though - be interesting to see what their 15 mins is like compared to Chile and Colombia. Should be more assured but that crowd can unnerve..

How serious was that foul on Neymar? He's probably not 100% fit by this point but he has to be there. Maybe he can borrow Suarez's wheelchair.
