Jibe, Friday, 4 July 2014 21:56 (nine years ago) link

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 21:57 (nine years ago) link

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 4 July 2014 21:57 (nine years ago) link

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 21:57 (nine years ago) link

I really want to know what's going on in that ref's head - how can there be only 4 yellow cards in this game? There should have been at least 4 reds.

StanM, Friday, 4 July 2014 21:58 (nine years ago) link

I want to adopt Hamez tbh

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 21:58 (nine years ago) link

ref is thinking about a fat bag of cash

Warning: This vine contains the most disturbing insect moment of the cup so far

I applaud the lenient reffing tbh, for the most part - a timely brace of yellows circa halftime would've been useful, but let it go mostly, nobody died

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 21:59 (nine years ago) link

well, maybe Neymar

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (nine years ago) link

I want to adopt that locust tbh

, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (nine years ago) link

Maicon was a good call.

Colombia were really rumbled at the beginning. This crowd are amazing, usually worth a goal by themselves.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (nine years ago) link

omg nn that is O_O

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:00 (nine years ago) link

wtf NN

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (nine years ago) link

ref called every minor infraction but did at little as possible to discourage them. surely one of the worst ways to manage a game.

Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (nine years ago) link

Argentina - Belgium and Costa Rica - Netherlands both won't be as fast as this but not as slow as FRA-GER either I bet

StanM, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:01 (nine years ago) link

This is why COL lost. A HUMUNGOUS predatory beast landed on Rodriguez' arm after he scored

Million xps but can't get through ffs

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (nine years ago) link

world cup needs more lumps kicking out of flair players, excellent call

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (nine years ago) link

I'm sure it was working for the Brazilians

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (nine years ago) link

Am I cynical or the hugging Brazil gave to Hames are somewhat patronizing?

nostormo, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (nine years ago) link

Arg-Belgium will be realllly slow imo

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:02 (nine years ago) link

ref was way too lenient -- he needed to hand a couple of yellow cards and things would've been pegged back a bit.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (nine years ago) link

Nostromo, agreed: Luiz seemed to enjoy that a tad too much.

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (nine years ago) link

@tejucole
Side-eye all the ladies and gentlemen offering to console, really console, James Rodríguez.

mookieproof, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:03 (nine years ago) link

A couple of cards in the 1st half, towards the end.

xyzzzz__, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (nine years ago) link

54 FOULS!!

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (nine years ago) link

ah c'mon, you have to give Luiz that one. He's only a kid

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:04 (nine years ago) link

My boy Wrighty going with Zha-mes, the levee cannot hold

Ismael Klata, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:05 (nine years ago) link

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:06 (nine years ago) link

pretty sure Neymar had himself carried off because he was shitting himself they were gonna equalize

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:06 (nine years ago) link

nah, ian wright keeps calling him 'jamas

john wahey (NickB), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:07 (nine years ago) link

not sure what's wrong jim tbh

john wahey (NickB), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:08 (nine years ago) link

Watching replay after replay, still don't think that second was a free kick.

In the airplane over the .CSS (Le Bateau Ivre), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:08 (nine years ago) link

let's all hope neymar really is dead

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (nine years ago) link

Dermot Corrigan @dermotmcorrigan
Neymar taken straight to hospital from stadium according to @AS_AGabilondo who says Brazilian media saying "it does not look good"

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (nine years ago) link

jesus
xp

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:09 (nine years ago) link

it was definitely a free btw. Not a yellow

Number None, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (nine years ago) link

top stuff from sam allardyce's brazil.

Merdeyeux, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (nine years ago) link

Brazil are hateful.

Raccoon Tanuki, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:10 (nine years ago) link

yeah it was a free kick, yellow was harsh in circs but consistent with ref being a homer, sorry for impugning Neymar's bottle and fingers crossed he's ok

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:11 (nine years ago) link

What's even thr point of Brazil going through without Neymar and Thiago tbf? Colombia better team in every aspect to me.

Raccoon Tanuki, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:12 (nine years ago) link

there's nothing wrong with Brazil really, Germany will probly do them given anything like an even playing field, but Rodriguez has had an exceptional tournament and it's hard to see it finish

Daphnis Celesta, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:13 (nine years ago) link

Not today they weren't
xp

pandemic, Friday, 4 July 2014 22:13 (nine years ago) link

if one or two of James' team mates had stepped up they'd probly have won, thought Cuadrado was especially poor tonight
