Sounds entirely probable

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:16 (eleven years ago)

I could actually see Kyrgios winning though, that's how good he's been

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:19 (eleven years ago)

Of course, Fed could dip tomorrow vs Stan, but, purely selfishly, I have way too much on my plate at work at the moment to endure a Fedal semi on Friday. Best that it just doesn't happen.

Michael Jones, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:26 (eleven years ago)

WHAT DID YOU SEE THAT KYRGIOS WINNER WHAT

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:28 (eleven years ago)

:D

cerealbar, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:28 (eleven years ago)

Kyrgios, everyone: https://vine.co/v/MFYKPlIYBMd

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:32 (eleven years ago)

wow. can't wait to try that one out.

cajunsunday, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:36 (eleven years ago)

Side-eyeing tomorrow's schedule for putting Kerber/Bouchard on first at 12 after Kerber had an epic match today while Bouchard had a day off

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:42 (eleven years ago)

Haaaaa you don't see Nadal getting faked out too often. Kyrgios has brains/creativity/touch as well as power. And that was a big point.

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:45 (eleven years ago)

holy shit at that baseline tweener

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:45 (eleven years ago)

:(((

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:46 (eleven years ago)

nice to see a young player come out of nowhere and make a serious run. the men's game is in serious need of some fun young players

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 16:51 (eleven years ago)

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:39 (eleven years ago)

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:39 (eleven years ago)

haha sorry wrong thread

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:41 (eleven years ago)

An amazing BH then an amazing FH. Kyrgios breaks in the fourth.

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:55 (eleven years ago)

having my pre-dawn Ramadan meal a couple of hours early because of this match, hopefully worth it. :D

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:57 (eleven years ago)

I like his shaved hair pattern too. Go Nick!

katstevens, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 17:57 (eleven years ago)

one game from the match!

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:04 (eleven years ago)

Kyrgios confident enough to tank that return game lmao

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:08 (eleven years ago)

haha yeah

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:09 (eleven years ago)

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:09 (eleven years ago)

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:09 (eleven years ago)

yessss

cerealbar, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:10 (eleven years ago)

was dreading that going to 5 and messing up the women's schedule even more

cerealbar, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:10 (eleven years ago)

Boom

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:10 (eleven years ago)

From nine MPs down to Gasquet (and one Hawkeye challenge and MILLIMETRES from going out) in R2 to this, just a brilliant performance from start to finish.

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:12 (eleven years ago)

I did not know Kyrgios is half-Malay!

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:13 (eleven years ago)

NOW DON'T FLOP TO RAONIC, don't you fucking dare

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:15 (eleven years ago)

First player ranked outside the top 100 to beat a no 1 player since 1992. :)

xxpost omg really? That's fucking awesome!

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:15 (eleven years ago)

Roz to lead the international fan brigade.

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:19 (eleven years ago)

Precisely!

Good stuff what I saw of that.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:22 (eleven years ago)

I think I need to go get food now rather than potentially wait for Kvitova to finish, hrrm

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:27 (eleven years ago)

Fantastic. 1992, eh? Edberg or Courier?

Michael Jones, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:46 (eleven years ago)

Courier lol

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 18:48 (eleven years ago)

Petra's playing with so much intensity this tournament, I love it.

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:12 (eleven years ago)

... But lol as lex predicted earlier, BZS' low bouncing slices and volleys are totally driving her nuts.

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:36 (eleven years ago)

never doubted I'd return to a scoreline like this

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:44 (eleven years ago)

Until that saved break point on the previous game I don't think I'd heard Kvitova bark all tournament! Arpf!

katstevens, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:44 (eleven years ago)

lol she barked a lot in her match against venus

groovemaaan, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:46 (eleven years ago)

Thanks for getting this done quickly Petra so I can go to bed. Pls win it all, goodnight.

Roz, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:55 (eleven years ago)

So nice to see Petra peaking at the end of a match for once!

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 19:55 (eleven years ago)

Men's QFs!

(1) Novak Djokovic vs. (26) Marin Cilic
(3) Andy Murray vs. (11) Grigor Dimitrov
(5) Stanislas Wawrinka vs. (4) Roger Federer
(8) Milos Raonic vs. (WC) Nick Kyrgios

H2Hs -

Djokovic leads Cilic 9-0 (2-0 this year, never played on grass)
Murray leads Dimitrov 3-1 (Dimitrov leads 1-0 this year, never played on grass)
Federer leads Wawrinka 13-2 (Wawrinka leads 1-0 this year, never played on grass)
Raonic leads Kyrgios 1-0 (at this year's RG!)

lex pretend, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 20:04 (eleven years ago)

omg KYRGIOS! first time i've felt comfortably jingoistic about a player in like, forever

ginuwine's cousin (monotony), Tuesday, 1 July 2014 21:22 (eleven years ago)

Want to thank the good men and women of Wimbledon who gave Nadal the people who play the type of Tennis that suits him least.

Felt so happy for Kyrgios - was mostly watching WC, in half-despair as Nadal broken him for the 2nd, then happiness that he won the 3rd.

Love to see him in the SF but I don't know about the recovery here.

Sorta want Stan to win it all.

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 22:58 (eleven years ago)

Kvitova was great despite sorta falling asleep halfway through the 2nd.

She should win it all. Big but here..
