Stephens' second serve is hilariously bad and the grass still being slick means Kirilenko actually is doing legit damage with her forehand.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Monday, 23 June 2014 11:59 (twelve years ago)

Crazy end to the Stephens/Kirilenko match. Kirilenko wins her sixth MP, Stephens' streak of OK-sort-of Slam consistency comes to an end.

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 12:26 (twelve years ago)

That first MP save was lololol. Kirilenko actually played well tho her transition game was pretty lousy there.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Monday, 23 June 2014 12:28 (twelve years ago)

Er, the first SP save. It was I think the fourth MP save that was the funny one.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Monday, 23 June 2014 12:29 (twelve years ago)

Nice to see Lucic can still smack the crap out of the ball. Not so nice to see her attempt a drop-shot.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Monday, 23 June 2014 12:34 (twelve years ago)

Kirilenko actually played well tho her transition game was pretty lousy there.

I thought her volleys were weirdly dire, given that they used to be one of her actual strengths. Returns were on point though, she's never used that BH DTL return with such purpose.

Makarova/Date-Krumm was a tremendous match, yet another tremendous epic match that Kimiko lost ;_;

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:15 (twelve years ago)

Nice to see Ana Konjuh win her first Slam match with a bagel in the third over Erakovic!

Not nice to see Verdasco fuck up against that moron Matosevic.

Nice to see Lucic-Baroni get that set against Azarenka! Keep it up! 15-year anniversary over her Wim SF run!

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:28 (twelve years ago)

Er, she didn't get that set yet. First day of a Slam always scrambles my brain

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:29 (twelve years ago)

Mirjana blows three SPs and gives the game away on a shitty challenge :(

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:34 (twelve years ago)

:((((((((

can someone I like please win a match, any match

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:48 (twelve years ago)

Henman: "Earlier I was asked who I thought the best volleyer in the top 100 is"
McEnroe: "I'll tell you what my answer to that would be...RAFA NADAL"

cerealbar, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:52 (twelve years ago)

Surely this can't happen too often. Meusburger wins 12 straight games against King, yet neither set is a bagel (she won them from 0-5 down in the first; at 5-0 up in the second, King won three games)

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 13:59 (twelve years ago)

lol @ Sloane, when I saw she was playing Kirilenko I knew she was toast

Star Gentle Uterus (DJP), Monday, 23 June 2014 14:56 (twelve years ago)

really bbc, the best you can do his a nole virtual walkover?

pandemic, Monday, 23 June 2014 16:52 (twelve years ago)

yassss so glad that twat Evans lost, love Andrey Kuznetsov's BH
simultaneous Kuznetsov drama!

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 18:36 (twelve years ago)

Fognini/Kuznetsov = v appealing to watch for me. PS I am incredibly shallow.

katstevens, Monday, 23 June 2014 18:38 (twelve years ago)

Muguruza saved 13 MPs against Vandeweghe only to lose the match with two consecutive DFs ;______;

SO ANNOYED at Vandeweghe winning any matches

lex pretend, Monday, 23 June 2014 18:51 (twelve years ago)

Hi from the Wimbledon queue! Gonna see Bencic later

lex pretend, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 06:52 (twelve years ago)

abcfsk, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 11:50 (twelve years ago)

hi does anyone know how court 3 ticketing works? I've got court 3 tickets for tomorrow (!) but it's also open to grounds pass people right? are only half the seats ticketed or is that under the assumption that people won't wanna sit there all day?
never been to Wimbledon before

cerealbar, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 13:13 (twelve years ago)

Klizan about to serve for the 1st set

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 14:17 (twelve years ago)

Nadal played a terrific first point, gets it to 0-30 but Klizan plays aggressive to win the 1st

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 14:22 (twelve years ago)

lololol this doesn't get old <3

that DF shank to get broken!

uberweiss, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 14:24 (twelve years ago)

those wasted break chances will bite him in the ass

groovemaaan, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 14:39 (twelve years ago)

Nadal did play really well to break again in the 3rd - expecting to pull through now.

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 15:45 (twelve years ago)

Bouchard about to start in court 1

xyzzzz__, Tuesday, 24 June 2014 15:45 (twelve years ago)

Had an excellent day yesterday, much better than the overcrowded and stressful day I had in 2013. Not sure why the crowds seemed less intense this year but grateful for it. Report - http://unforcederrani.tumblr.com/post/89847620832/wimbledon-2014-report-day-2

Virginia Wade is so pressed about how rich, successful and likeable Li Na is.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 11:15 (twelve years ago)

stakhovsky took the first set against gulbis, pretty cool match

groovemaaan, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 11:22 (twelve years ago)

Nara playing really well vs Venus

lex pretend, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 11:42 (twelve years ago)

I post that and she immediately loses six points in a row from 4-1 up in the TB, ugh

lex pretend, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 11:45 (twelve years ago)

...and Gulbis goes down a break in the second. Def thought this might be an upset with Gulbis struggling so much vs Zopp in R1

lex pretend, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 11:47 (twelve years ago)

I don't know or care much about the actual tennis but who are the hottest female players to look out for this year?

goth colouring book (anagram), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 12:02 (twelve years ago)

Virginia Wade

abcfsk, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 12:21 (twelve years ago)

Stakhovsky celebrates the one-year anniversary of his Federer upset by upsetting the man who upset Federer at RG. I wish we didn't know Stakhovsky was a dick, he doesn't seem like it on court

Is Bepa really serious about this comeback? I thought she'd abandoned it...

lex pretend, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 12:46 (twelve years ago)

A-Rad does her best to choke set 1 v Casey Delinquent but ultimately can't...starts set 2 better and you already have the impression CD is hanging on for dear life.

Fred Nerk, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 12:51 (twelve years ago)

Stakhovsky is fun to watch on a fast court, good to see him defending his points.

groovemaaan, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 12:52 (twelve years ago)

my god this bepa match is hilariously awful

groovemaaan, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:02 (twelve years ago)

Actually, the Radwanska/Dellacqua match started out really well, the first four games were wonderful. Then Dellacqua was horrible for a few games, then Radwanska was horrible for a few games, and then the default asserted itself.

If Bepa loses this I think we can be sure she's done.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:03 (twelve years ago)

She fought through

abcfsk, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:17 (twelve years ago)

Bepa looked psychotic at the handshake and she _won_. If she'd lost, I reckon the entire crowd would have run in terror.

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:17 (twelve years ago)

Murray monstering some poor sod called Rola (R-O-L-A Rola)

Fred Nerk, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:21 (twelve years ago)

Tuning in just to see Chardy choke against that twat Matosevic -_-

lex pretend, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:22 (twelve years ago)

The local tissues have got 'behind' Marinko lately, telling us what a good fellow he is, not at all the obnoxious clot we'd all assumed.... spose yeah, he is Likeable Simon from Get Smart next to the likes of Tomic.

Fred Nerk, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:27 (twelve years ago)

Matosevic is a bit of a dick, but I did kind of have sympathy for him when his "supporters" kept calling him a nickname he has previously said he hates. Ugh, the tendency to assume that people are OK with nicknames shits me no end, so I felt for him for that one moment. Not at other times!

oh, boy, .GIF! That's where I'm a Viking! (edwardo), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 13:32 (twelve years ago)

chardy/matosevic are hitting some massive groundstrokes
