You know Shakey's meltdown on the other thread has got me thinking, the Others can swim right?

Like the dudes who Jon Snow sends to save the wildlings at Eastrock or Eastwatch or w/e that is send a message to Jon Snow (I think) that there are 'white walkers in the water' or something like that

Or is it that the Others infected dolphins and whales and maybe lobsters and crabs too

I was disappointed by treeman, did not expect him to be so human looking. I had zero problems with the skeleton fight, they looked good.

This part I don't remember clearly, but I do know that any time the Walkers are approaching, the ambient temperature drops dramatically, so maybe they're icing over the seawater and walking on top?

dude in the tree was like pre-special effects jabba in og star wars. no money left i guess. also thought the skellies were cool, nice homage and let's face it, those dudes have the most ad&d storyline so what do you expect? ppl are ok with cool dragons i guess but get rattled at other reminders that this is some lord of the rings shit. fyi dragons are the worst.

Kinda morbid wish is that I hope they give Aemon a good death in the show before Peter 'Grouty' Vaughan has to stop appearing for any reason. So great to see pros over 90 in shows this big.

how it looks. also appears no lady stoneheart though i still think they might be leaking hints at that as a means of throwing ppl who've read the books off.

Maybe they've just dropped Stoneheart? Big WTF moment in the books that has amounted to exactly nothing.

we're also not exactly presently acquainted with the legions of frey's she's stringing up. in the book we at least have passing familiarity with several. my best guess at this point is they're leaving her out, maybe giving her plot just straight to beric dondarrion who is still around in the show i guess?

yeah it wouldn't be hard to leave her out and they may feel they've addressed that enough in passing already. still it was such a huge 'holy shit' moment that i thought they wouldn't be able resist and then when it didn't figure in the finale i guessed they were saving it as there early season 'omg', a la joffrey last year and some other things i'm sure i'm forgetting.

it kinda makes sense, particularly if they're gonna do the jon snow is dead + jon snow is (presumably) resurrected thing at some point. if they start killing people are bringing them back from the dead left and right it kinda kills the stakes to a degree for the viewing audience. the show's reputation is that they don't pull punches and zombie characters might feel like a pulled punch.

Bran Stark and Hodor reportedly won't appear in "Game of Thrones" next season. The two were a part of a major storyline from last season as they ventured beyond The Wall and met The Children.

In a recent interview with Yahoo, Kristian Nairn, who plays the silent Hodor, said that both he and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran) won't be returning for Season 5.

"We have a season off and we have a year's hiatus, solely because I imagine our storyline is up to the end of the books," he said. "So, I get my year off now to do Rave of Thrones and gallivant all over the world."

That's great that Hodor gets to keep busy DJing awesome raves, but seriously, what does this mean for "Game of Thrones"?! Dan Weiss and David Benioff couldn't have left their story at a more jarring point in Season 4.
