Gayles gone off the field, i think he's doing it so he can say hes injured again so he can get a runner for batting. Cheating cunt.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:17 (seventeen years ago)

but he had an injury before this innings and he bowled so england should object if he requests one.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:18 (seventeen years ago)

and this time wasting is worse than in football

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:19 (seventeen years ago)

Needs a lie down, he broke 2mph earlier today (xp)

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:19 (seventeen years ago)

If England declare before lunch they lose 2 overs to bowl. If they bat to lunch and declare they get the full allotment

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:44 (seventeen years ago)

the pitch hasnt done anything today so im guessing thats a consideration. if it had been misbehavng they woulda declared. God i wish fred and harmison were there bending their backs trying to bowl 90mph. Thats the only way to get wkts

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:45 (seventeen years ago)

Yeh were being to hard on the yanks I mean it only took me 10 minutes to get the hang of it when i was 4 so we should give the average adult 22.72 years.

boner state university (cankles), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:14 (seventeen years ago)

lolol well trust me on this, it isn't all that difficult, the trick is to chill out and let things reveal themselves, rather than demand to know everything at once, it's better to learn about it thru demonstration than thru theory imo

also cheers (ty) for that NFL thing!

ya i am a trial-and-error learner, ie. it's easier to learn playing than watching - are there cricket videogames?

boner state university (cankles), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:24 (seventeen years ago)

Brian Lara on EA is considered the gold standard for cricket games, if I remember right.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:25 (seventeen years ago)

hahaha yes there are actually, Brian Lara Cricket has been a profitable series and EA Cricket has also had its moments (especially in '07)...I've only ever played BLC and it's probably about right for a beginner, good fun, doesn't require too much thought, very lucid about its gameplay.

there's also a cricket management sim, International Cricket Captain, but that's only really for ultras

lol @ Neil confusing EA and BLC

EA's heyday was '05 btw, I got that wrong

This is the day when fisticuffs happened everywhere (country matters), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:29 (seventeen years ago)

lol i have gotten into Football Manager, but cricket simming is too next level for me rn

boner state university (cankles), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:30 (seventeen years ago)

maybe even '04, Metacritic is giving me conflicting signals here

lol xp true say, i wdnt expect anyone to cricket sim apart from total nuts like myself, and even i don't cricket sim no more

This is the day when fisticuffs happened everywhere (country matters), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:31 (seventeen years ago)

basically, give BLC a go, it's the clearest, funnest and most arcadey of all the respectable ones

This is the day when fisticuffs happened everywhere (country matters), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah you got me! I assumed EA's franchise was Brian Lara, like Madden for American Football.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:35 (seventeen years ago)

is Madden available over there? i'll use that as my barometer of whether or not there's a NA vers of cricket games

boner state university (cankles), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:40 (seventeen years ago)

yeah Madden's available here, I know a few ppl who play it

this Coach Stilo thing is pretty entertaining fwiw

240 to win from 66 overs. In other words, Windies will be playing for a draw.

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:45 (seventeen years ago)

So much for tempting them with the prospect of a win.

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:46 (seventeen years ago)

xp I was playing Madden '94 on the SNES, back in the day.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:46 (seventeen years ago)

Tom it doesnt make a difference, the WI will not be bowled out no matter how much the WI are set.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:48 (seventeen years ago)

there was no sense in handing them an easy win, thats all it would have done.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:49 (seventeen years ago)

So play long enough for KP to improve his batting average then?

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:49 (seventeen years ago)

10 wickets wont have fallen even in 200 overs

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:50 (seventeen years ago)

why did you want england to hand the WI an easy win? the series hasnt been lost in this game

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:50 (seventeen years ago)

Yes, well done, England, excellent loss of a series there, you can hold your heads up high and no mistake

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:51 (seventeen years ago)

Englands collapse came in this series when defending btw. so the whole dangle a carrot thing is the only way to win is bullshit. It's to bowl well and create pressure. There cant be any pressure if the batsmen are given an easy target as a "carrot". its fucking stupid talk.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 16:53 (seventeen years ago)

Losers

2 down already!

jel --, Tuesday, 10 March 2009 17:30 (seventeen years ago)

Get one of Sarwan or Chanderpaul and we have a real chance.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 17:31 (seventeen years ago)

Chanderpaul is like a wall though, he'll make 26 not out of 134 balls :(

jel --, Tuesday, 10 March 2009 17:32 (seventeen years ago)

Needs a bit of the old chin music IMO.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 17:33 (seventeen years ago)

ohh i think sarwan is out
