Is there an official rule on whether a player gets goal credit if it last touches an opponent before crossing the goal line? Surely Messi shouldn't get credit for that. In Baseball hits and errors get adjusted after a game if there are doubts.

No, it's up to the ref but the general rule of thumb is that if the strike was already on target then it's awarded to the attacker. Difficult to tell with the Messi one
