i mean it doesn't surprise me: people love action sequences, and this is what keeps superhero franchises afloat. but i find it so dull.

tell me about it. I feel like all present-day genre entertainment would just be 100% this all the time if it could. Guh.

(but the scythe was k-awes)

I just wish they would've cut to king's landing, or, anything else really. Just once

hahah what

socki (s1ocki), Thursday, 12 June 2014 01:29 (eleven years ago)

when this episode started i was like "how great would it be if they never leave the wall this ep and do it kinda in real time"

and they did!

socki (s1ocki), Thursday, 12 June 2014 01:30 (eleven years ago)

i was kind of hoping gilly would have fallen in love with bald nights watch guy by the end of the ep tho, that would have been a good twist

socki (s1ocki), Thursday, 12 June 2014 01:30 (eleven years ago)

yeah agree the mountain didn't seem as menacing as Head Thenn. tho I supposed part of the point was for Oberyn to own him a bit before it got to his head.

i wouldve been cool if they cut to kings landing and everyone was bored and nothing was happeing

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 01:55 (eleven years ago)

i liked this action movie. sometimes shows just need a break from all the menacing looks and talky-talk.

Really came around on Alliser / Owen Teale

I love cheesy speeches before battle

I wanna go die for something right now

Maybe die for a bowl of ice cream

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:06 (eleven years ago)

I just think the whole military mindset of the night's watch is my least favorite part of the series. And I love battle scenes. Four seasons in and I still don't give a shit about jon snow. Besides that ya know..maybe I don't want him to die, for his sisters I guess.

But really in general I would much rather watch the dramatic/violent shit show played out at KL.

Dreamland, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:12 (eleven years ago)

jon snow is terrible i hope he dies

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:13 (eleven years ago)

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:14 (eleven years ago)

Jon snow is like eddie vedder crossed w/a puppy but I like him.

christmas candy bar (al leong), Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:15 (eleven years ago)

he is so unchill and not smart

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:15 (eleven years ago)

Too paranoid about a marriage now, obviously

Dreamland, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:15 (eleven years ago)

Yeah he's good

I was surprised to find out people think the guy who acts him does as poor a job as Dany

I think he fits well w/ how I pictured him from the books

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:16 (eleven years ago)

how u gonna get by in game of thrones when u got no game, i guess thats kinda the point of his character, hes the yin to little fingers yang

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:16 (eleven years ago)

Also I don't think Dany is a bad actress

GRRM's Dany material really is just atrociously bad & really bad

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:17 (eleven years ago)

i like her when she gets all righteous and yells at slave masters

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:17 (eleven years ago)

i dont h8 her storyline at all tbh

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:18 (eleven years ago)

I would totes follow Dany into battle and not just cause of her supple skin and narcissistic ways

Dreamland, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:24 (eleven years ago)

I'd follow her bc I don't want to be on the bad side of 3 dragons

Plus the dragons will kill N cook mutton for you

Ygritte got a shitty death compared to all the mens.

Was annoyed there was no Manse but at least he got mentioned so perhaps gets his big horn out next week.

Are there no lady giants?

nashwan, Thursday, 12 June 2014 09:27 (eleven years ago)

Jon Snow looks more and more like celebrity food critic Jay Rayner every episode

thomasintrouble, Thursday, 12 June 2014 10:28 (eleven years ago)

No spoilers, nashwan!!!!!!!

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 11:34 (eleven years ago)

I was always under the impression that itt no spoilers meant no book spoilers?

Dreamland, Thursday, 12 June 2014 12:35 (eleven years ago)

manse has a big horn damn not sure if i even feel like watching this show any more

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 12:36 (eleven years ago)

Manse to attack the Wall with tuneless tenor sax renditions of 'Baker Street'.

(I thought a horn had been mentioned in the show before but can't remember now, sorry if not)

nashwan, Thursday, 12 June 2014 12:55 (eleven years ago)

Also ye it is Mance not Manse.

nashwan, Thursday, 12 June 2014 12:57 (eleven years ago)

manse raider

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 12:58 (eleven years ago)

fancy manse

Mordy, Thursday, 12 June 2014 13:23 (eleven years ago)

haha yeah if it suddenly cut to someone eating a lemon cake after the thenn's head caved in it would be funny

socki (s1ocki), Thursday, 12 June 2014 13:53 (eleven years ago)

half heartedly watching a jester, trying on a new doublet

lag∞n, Thursday, 12 June 2014 13:55 (eleven years ago)

a manse raider is not the most fearsome notion, on a par with 'vicarage intruder' or 'brigand of the rectory'

ogmor, Thursday, 12 June 2014 14:01 (eleven years ago)

CANDY REAMER

ian, Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:37 (eleven years ago)

Surprised that I liked the last episode so much, because even though the Wall wasn't one of my favourite plotlines in the books, it manages to be much more boring on the show.

Anyway, Emmy nominations are out.

Actors: For best supporting, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Charles Dance, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington. Surprising omission: Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger), who has been great this season, and has had plenty to do. For guest actors, Pedro Pascal was submitted for Prince Oberyn and Diana Rigg for Lady Olenna.

How is Aiden Gillen the surprise omission when Jack Gleeson's still not up there?!

gyac, Saturday, 14 June 2014 12:52 (eleven years ago)

emmy nominations aren't out btw, that's just who submitted for consideration
