Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:23 (seventeen years ago)

WI so confident in getting dodgy decisions theyre referring an lbw

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

Will harper insist he got it right again?

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

Aaaah don't know wha's goin' off aaht there, I tells thee

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

Lets see which umpire is corrupt this time! ;)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

this has to be not out

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:24 (seventeen years ago)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:25 (seventeen years ago)

thank fuck they have none left

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:25 (seventeen years ago)

i dont think the referrals system is going to be used in the ashes series. Bound to be a gentlemans agreement.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:26 (seventeen years ago)

^^^yes please

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:27 (seventeen years ago)

(unless it's a VERY basic referral system, along the lines of "was it a stinker")

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:27 (seventeen years ago)

still doesnt work. cook was still given out

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:28 (seventeen years ago)

A stinker = "clearly, blatantly errant"

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:29 (seventeen years ago)

But the referrals arent the problem. It's the incompetent men in the middle and up in the chair.
Take tv out of it and you still have 2 morons in the middle getting it wrong.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:29 (seventeen years ago)

I wish we had fred. we'd be 2-1 up

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:34 (seventeen years ago)

Chanderpaul wouldnt say if he had hit it or not(ie didnt try to say he didn't hit it) then he said the WI team was happy with the referrals as they had the major benefit of it.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:45 (seventeen years ago)

Still doesn't change the fact that Harper is an arse

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:53 (seventeen years ago)

Look, just be grateful Billy Bowden's in South Africa, will ya? :P

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:53 (seventeen years ago)

Just seen the cook decision again. There's daylight there, he does not touch it. How could Harper have still given it out? Unbelievable.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:55 (seventeen years ago)

I hope KP scores quick as anything tomorrow. get 170 in double quicktime so that WI only have to go at 2 an over so they cant just block, and hope a couple of wkts fall early then they get nervy and wkts fall at regular intervals.
Sadly on this pitch its morely likely gayle will knock it off doublequick and get a 10 wkt win.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:57 (seventeen years ago)

England can quite easily get a 200 lead before lunch. Set 'em about 210 to win, watch the sparks fly.

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 21:58 (seventeen years ago)

That would take some bold captaincy, not hitherto a feature of the series - but what's the alternative, declare at tea and hope for a miracle?

Ismael Klata, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:01 (seventeen years ago)

That isn't an alternative. England won't be considering anything other than declaring around lunch-time.

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:03 (seventeen years ago)

210 and the WI wouldnt bother their arse

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:03 (seventeen years ago)

If gayle got out they would just bat out the day

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:03 (seventeen years ago)

Hopefully, Amjad will have his Devon Malcom moment in this match, 9-35 or something like that. Blimey, didn't know Amjad was Danish either!

jel --, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

Malcolm, doh

jel --, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

9-57 and I didn't have to look that up.

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:05 (seventeen years ago)

I remember the day like it was yesterday, and ran and told my dad that Devon was destroying them. It was awesome, probably my favourite sporting moment. (knew it was 9-57, was just setting the bench higher!)

jel --, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:08 (seventeen years ago)

I'm trying to think of an equivalent! Obvs the Gary Pratt run-out is the single greatest moment in post-millennial English cricket.

Probably Trescothick's utterly insane 87 off about 50 in an ODI against Pakistan. I let a lot of people know about that one.

Hmm.

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:12 (seventeen years ago)

That ball that Ashley Giles bowled Brian Lara with was special.

(Must get Sky this summer, another cricketless summer is too depressing to contemplate)

jel --, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:14 (seventeen years ago)

Mainly coz it was Ashley Giles, and kinda WTF?

jel --, Monday, 9 March 2009 22:15 (seventeen years ago)

He did the same to Damien Martyn AND Chris Cairns

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 22:19 (seventeen years ago)

I wish we had fred. we'd be 2-1 up

I'm pretty sure he's never going to be fit enough to play a whole series again.

Queueing For Latchstrings (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 10:41 (seventeen years ago)

If the WI get KP out watch their celebrations, they will celebrate like they have won.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:11 (seventeen years ago)

...and then Prior will marmalise that 80-ball 100 I was talking about

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:13 (seventeen years ago)

If England dont get bowled out chasing runs, what should they declare at? 170? 200? remember if you score too many , the WI will just defend and get an easy draw.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:13 (seventeen years ago)

I suppose Eng might want 2 overs before lunch

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:14 (seventeen years ago)

Since Gayle bowled last night he better not be allowed a runner

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:17 (seventeen years ago)

The lower the better. Let's see what Strauss is made of.

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:17 (seventeen years ago)

Declaring early is only ok if you get gayle out quick. He could knock a small target off himself

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:18 (seventeen years ago)

colly out

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:20 (seventeen years ago)

it's priortime!

So they lose, who cares? Better than drawing.

Free the Northampton 1 (Tom D.), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:21 (seventeen years ago)

no point in bringing it forward. set a decent tsrget not an easy one

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 14:58 (seventeen years ago)

also the bigger the total the longer the fielders can stay in close

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:00 (seventeen years ago)

England going well!

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Tuesday, 10 March 2009 15:01 (seventeen years ago)

infact if the WI were to collapse it would be to pressure. So how the fuck could there be pressure built if they have a low score and plenty of overs left to chase? It would be fucking stupid.
