i was supposed to be in an airport but my flight got cancelled while i was on my way, so now i've come back home and i'm hyping myself up for the 11 hour megabus journey i'll be taking in a few hours. lol.
― Merdeyeux, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 04:59 (eleven years ago)
I recommend being unconscious
― Forks I'd Clove to Fu (silby), Wednesday, 25 June 2014 05:15 (eleven years ago)
i'm a seasoned veteran of comically long megabus journeys (longest being something like 13 hours i think), i can survive it as long as i don't have to sit near the toilet.
― Merdeyeux, Wednesday, 25 June 2014 05:24 (eleven years ago)
I once did like 16 or 18 hours from Vegas to Tucson. That was kind of insane.

At Heathrow terminal five at 3:25am, having massively underestimated how long it takes to get here by cab. Eerily quiet. Lots of people sleeping on the floor until check in opens in an hour.
― Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Friday, 5 September 2014 02:31 (eleven years ago)
A better class of people sleeping on the floor than you get at Stansted or Gatwick though.
― Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Friday, 5 September 2014 02:32 (eleven years ago)
The duty free in Sydney airport doesn't have red velvet Tim Tams, wtf

No better way to point out the vulnerabilities of your national transportation infrastructure than having a suicidal dude set an ATC tower on fire in the most crowded hub airspace in North America

LAX, you're a long way from your own runways.
― Starland Vocal Gland (sic), Tuesday, 14 October 2014 21:03 (eleven years ago)
LAX's wifi doesn't let you post and Nadi's wanted payment in Fijian dollars and Sydney's now requires you to sign up to use it

Currently at Borispol airport. A British woman in her sixties is explaining Jewish people to another British woman in her forties who seems to new to the whole concept. Tbf, the one doing the explaining seems to only have a marginally better grasp. Quite how anyone so unworldly managed to end up in Ukraine is a mystery but not one I'm keen to explore further.
― Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Tuesday, 21 October 2014 05:24 (eleven years ago)
well the Jews were all expelled from Britain at some point right
― Spirit of Match Game '76 (silby), Tuesday, 21 October 2014 05:26 (eleven years ago)
She legitimately just asked whether there were any Jewish people in Britain!
― Wristy Hurlington (ShariVari), Tuesday, 21 October 2014 05:27 (eleven years ago)
not as if they'd all go waltzing back after that nasty expulsion business tho
