Jon Snow and the Night's Watch face a big challenge when Jon is invited to two weddings at the same time. Also, Daenerys accidentally loses her sexy neighbor's cat, and Tyrion is torn when he finds a winning lottery ticket on the sidewalk.

Game of Two and a Half Men.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 2 June 2014 20:47 (twelve years ago)

the last episode being called "the children" could easily refer to:

- tyrion (considering what he's up to in that ep)
- dany's dragonz

socki (s1ocki), Monday, 2 June 2014 21:12 (twelve years ago)

it's definitely going to have the children of the forest because they were cast for this season

gyac, Monday, 2 June 2014 21:14 (twelve years ago)

I got me mammothses :)

Quinoa Phoenix (latebloomer), Monday, 9 June 2014 05:40 (twelve years ago)

Lots to get through in the last ep. I'm guessing they'll be saving Jon becoming Lord Commander till next season.

the joke should be over once the kid is eaten. (chap), Monday, 9 June 2014 14:11 (twelve years ago)

They did pretty good justice to this battle- good ep overall.

lauded at conferences of deluded psychopaths (Sparkle Motion), Monday, 9 June 2014 14:23 (twelve years ago)

So this means we're not gonna have that dreary electioneering subplot at the Wall, I hope?

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 02:15 (twelve years ago)

Dreary? I loved the sneak election!

lauded at conferences of deluded psychopaths (Sparkle Motion), Thursday, 12 June 2014 05:02 (twelve years ago)

Me too! Politixxx!

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:05 (twelve years ago)

I mean it's the Kingsmoot where it's more POLITICZZZZZZZ.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:56 (twelve years ago)

Kingsmoot was cool because they brought boxes of skulls and that one dude died after he blew the horn & when they cut him open it was like he had smoked 3 packs a day for 50 years

, Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:57 (twelve years ago)

That was GRRM polishing a turd that is the Kingsmoot IMO.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Thursday, 12 June 2014 17:59 (twelve years ago)

Yeah but a dude blew a horn and then died because he blew the horn

I'm probably the only person who got into the Ironborn stuff and thought Dorne was a big sandy snooze

THANKS OBAMA

Quinoa Phoenix (latebloomer), Monday, 16 June 2014 02:29 (twelve years ago)

the motherfuckers played us like yo yo ma

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 16 June 2014 02:29 (twelve years ago)

lol

I'm not really that pissed, but it's kinda jarring and baffling that they didn't use such a ready-made cliffhanger "Wow!" moment.

Guess they wanted to wait until next season for it. That or it was hard to get MF for some reason.

Quinoa Phoenix (latebloomer), Monday, 16 June 2014 02:40 (twelve years ago)

It was weird. We were half joking 'well it's the epilogue so maybe after the credits' but no.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 16 June 2014 02:42 (twelve years ago)

Otherwise it was actually a great episode! Loved the Harryhausen-style skeleton wights.

Quinoa Phoenix (latebloomer), Monday, 16 June 2014 02:46 (twelve years ago)

I mean THANK GOD they fast-forwarded Bran's story

Quinoa Phoenix (latebloomer), Monday, 16 June 2014 02:57 (twelve years ago)

I AM SHOCKED.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 16 June 2014 05:04 (twelve years ago)

LIKE THIS IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING D&D COULD'VE DONE IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 16 June 2014 05:09 (twelve years ago)

Maybe NOW we'll get dead Freys?

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 16 June 2014 05:12 (twelve years ago)

lol by NOW I mean next year.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 16 June 2014 05:12 (twelve years ago)

they had to treeify bran asap before he got any taller

resulting post (rogermexico.), Monday, 16 June 2014 07:35 (twelve years ago)

I guess Tyrion is too much of a fan favorite for them to include the bit of him lying to Jaime about killing Joffrey

, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:21 (twelve years ago)

I was wondering about that.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:27 (twelve years ago)

the reveal about his first wife tysha seems like the more significant omission, i think that makes the following scenes make more sense

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:29 (twelve years ago)

Yeah - this last ep would have benefited from 10 more minutes, I think

, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:31 (twelve years ago)

when they cut to tyrion for the first time at like 9.58 i was thinking "what the fuck is going on here"

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:32 (twelve years ago)

Used to be worried about the series outpacing the books but now in a full blown panic after they accelerated Bran + Dany's storyline

They can probably get 2 seasons at most out of AFFC/DwD

Think the only logical choice would be to fully split off the TV series from the books and have them come out to different endings

, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:45 (twelve years ago)

they shd def do that anyway

lag∞n, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:45 (twelve years ago)

Yeah it would be cool

Jon Snow becomes King of Westeros but he is trapped in the body of an owl and his attendants never know what he wants and always have to ask him yes or no questions to which he responds with one blink for yes two blinks for no

, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:48 (twelve years ago)

invent a scenario where varys and tyrion go to braavos and meet arya, and then have a whole holding season of those three getting into mischief

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 16 June 2014 14:50 (twelve years ago)

I guess Tyrion is too much of a fan favorite for them to include the bit of him lying to Jaime about killing Joffrey

this has been the case for him for aaaages though? he's significantly more moral than in the books. On the other hand, I'm not sad we won't get him going on about "wherever whores go" all s5!

but on that front, I thought the worst bit of whitewashing was having Shae try to stab him, and then him saying "I'm sorry" afterwards.

and blah blah noone cares about book/show whinging I know, but they need to stop cutting out backstory/motivations and leaving the big events the same. The Tysha story has been mentioned in the show, and the Jaime & Tyrion interlude before the trial by combat would have been a good place to do a reminder.

gyac, Monday, 16 June 2014 15:20 (twelve years ago)

I agree with that but OTOH what we got was a good five minutes of the writers bashing Orson Scott Card, which was kind of hysterical

Star Gentle Uterus (DJP), Monday, 16 June 2014 15:22 (twelve years ago)

he's significantly more moral than in the books.

Yeah I find it a tad ironic that GRRM made this series partly through deflating a lot of swords and sorcery cliches but the TV series has pretty much gone on full steam ahead with wellworn TV tropes

, Monday, 16 June 2014 15:24 (twelve years ago)

they def were trying to sully tyrions rep as a good guy via killing shea but just gently

lag∞n, Monday, 16 June 2014 15:27 (twelve years ago)

yeah i remember in seasons past when they made the tyrion-shae relationship seem more reciprocal wondering if it was going to make it that more devastating at the end or if it would kinda ruin it and i think it turned out the latter. was generally happy w/ the finale, thought the appearance of stannis' army north of the wall was handled fantastically, they're getting better at that kind of thing. surprised they didn't have lady stoneheart, it just seemed such an obvious 'holy shit' moment to wrap the finale on but i guess they like to keep a surprise on standby to drop early next season plus they've done so little to set it up. was laughing a little on the other thread where someone was saying 'nobody ever dies of infections' thinking 'just you wait' but then nope they off the hound a different way. loved that, in general like the deviations and think when they allow the characters to breathe and let scenes play out a little it really works and becomes nearly as good a show as some ppl think it is.
