How do you feel FP is not working, darragh?

As far as Hungry4Ass goes, he stopped posting right after getting a yellow card for using the r-word, which I think many people are trying to be more sensitive about around here these days. It was his second yellow card for that reason in a few months. I don't know if that was the reason he left or just a coincidence. No one told him he had to leave or anything. I miss him too and hope he comes back. Or that he's out there living it up somewhere with a lot of clam.

Can you explain what it means to get a yellow card?

we need to have a conversation about why so many excellent posters have melted away from ilx, also why FP isn't working.

one theory is that this place is full of assholes. in fact, being an asshole is a lauded quality on here. who the hell wants to be around that forever?

In the scheme of things, it doesn't mean much. It's just a communication from the mods directly to a poster, without using webmail. It shows up at the top of your screen for 3 or 4 days. It is also visible to other posters in the admin log. Typically intended to provide a personal warning that your behavior is out of line, although there isn't a defined set of consequences for not complying or anything. For example, I got a yellow card once for punning on a poster's government name in my display name. I removed the display name and that was that.

compared to literally the entire rest of the internet, ilx is full of really nice, wonderful people.

and if not, idk that you d argue that the posters I'd consider excellent might not be in the definition of assholes as referred.

otm. i don't really think of ILX or anywhere else on the internet as substitute for irl connection. i see it as a fun place to check in on for music/politics/bullshit during the workday when i don't feel like working. posters here tend to be much more thoughtful/intelligent/funnier/friendlier than much of the internet.

deems in the old days of ilx no one got banned, yellow carded and govt. names were never removed if posted neither were any posts that users were embarrassed by.

I still don't get your angle here. Do you have a specific beef with someone, or do you just want someone, anyone, to get the hammer because it's entertaining?

I think his point is there are people around here who would still be hoovering up SBs if they weren't called FPs.
