jonathan tells autobiographical tales like 3x per show, that's practically his role! a mega-cut would be like 1000000 hrs long

I'll prob never do it but if I did I'd probably leave out all the "something funny happened the other day" stuff, or limit it to just the best/most pertinent

54:06 – Jonathan’s story about meeting with commercial agents. Lady: “What’s your look? I just want to take out a pair of scissors and trim your beard.” Jah: “That wouldn’t be cool with me, I’m Muslim.” Seth: “Oh, what the fuck man!!”

I'll always remember that story about him climbing into the girl's bedroom after he got busted for drugs

iirc He was supposed to go to a concert with a girl, but then he got arrested, so he was grounded, and the girl went to the show. Jah snuck out of his house and climbed into the girl's bedroom to wait for her to get back from the show.

another great story:

Jah explains that his host in Benjamin Hill, Mexico, named Cain, found out early on that Jah was looking for weed and took him to a dude’s house (scariest guy Jah’s ever met) and he bought a huge bag of crazy marijuana from him. He got down toward the bottom of the bag and realized there was half a gram of cocaine lining the bottom of the bag and he’d been smoking a bag of coco puffs the whole time he was there. Cain also set up a movie viewing experience in Jah’s room with a film projector and the dirtiest Mexican porn Jah had ever seen. All of Jah’s friends were in there watching it while smoking coco puffs, and halfway through the movie Jah got a raging hard-on and forced everyone out of the room except for one girl, and had terrible coked-out awful sex with her while a crazy porn is playing on the projector in the background. He found this girl on Myspace recently, she’s married now, he sent her a message congratulating her on the baby and she never responded. Cain was 30-something years old and still in high school, he had a beautiful wife. He had two girlfriends who were 15-year-old high schoolers. Jah recalls he was a terrible man. Months later a teacher came up to him at school and said they kept getting phone calls at school from a man named Cain, because Jah had promised to send crazy shit down to Mexico for him.

ive been reliving the classic jah stories (and poetry!)on the 2006 this year podcast. btw he told a couple of his classic poems a couple of different times. 'the white man call it...'wind''

i stood in line almost exactly 2 hours for that photo and there was a good 45mins-1hr of people in line behind me still

i greeted seth with the same "aloha seth" i've begun voicemails with for the last 4 years and he immediatley was like "DUDE!" and pulled me in for a big hug, it was really great

the show wasnt sold out but it was a pretty big venue and felt near-capacity, they started and ended with standing ovations

spoiler alert: the teacher who arranges for the postcards from korean students was in attendance

also the UYV(irgin) i brought enjoyed it (but did not summer the 2hr wait)
