Look at this joke I've recognised, do you recognise it as well? (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 22 May 2014 05:54 (twelve years ago)

I've been rewatching S1 very slowly as there was so much I didn't notice or appreciate the first time. Dany's brother was such a tool, worst individual in the whole thing.

Matt DC, Thursday, 22 May 2014 08:03 (twelve years ago)

i always sing the theme with the words game of thrones game of thrones game of thrones over and over like that one youtube

― lag∞n, Wednesday, 21 May 2014 16:37 (Yesterday) Permalink

always do this but with 'pe-ter din-klage'. keepin' it simple with 4 syllables. sometimes mix it up with a bit of 'pe-ter din-klage, will he sur-vive, will he sur-vive, or-will-he-die'

amazing life i lead

Carice looks like a non-ginger Karen Gillan in that YT thumbnail.

Khamma chameleon (Jon Lewis), Tuesday, 27 May 2014 21:03 (twelve years ago)

presumably there was no GOT in the US this week as well?

kinder, Tuesday, 27 May 2014 21:12 (twelve years ago)

It's because of the US that there was no GOT this week anywhere.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Tuesday, 27 May 2014 21:13 (twelve years ago)

No. HBO took the week off because of Memorial Day/premiere their high profile TV Movie from that Glee guy

Is that guy's junk the only thing keeping his pants up?

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 31 May 2014 15:57 (twelve years ago)

I've had a suspicion based on some interviews and their on-screen chemistry that Cersei and Oberyn were irl doing it and I'm gonna go ahead and take that pic as confirmation

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Monday, 2 June 2014 01:56 (twelve years ago)

Why am I so shocked but i am totally. I kind of knew there had to be something for all the build up but I thought it would end with Oberyn throwing a spear into Tywin or something.

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Monday, 2 June 2014 02:07 (twelve years ago)

that was next level grisly. i'm already having traumatic flashbacks

Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 2 June 2014 02:11 (twelve years ago)

just now moving past that to remember the brilliance of Arya's laughing.

anti-reader sadist

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:03 (twelve years ago)

just viciously anti-climatic + nihilistic

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:03 (twelve years ago)

climactic*

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2014 03:04 (twelve years ago)

that was anti-climatic?

Porto for Pyros (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Monday, 2 June 2014 04:00 (twelve years ago)

Yeah to me, the whole Oberyn part was pretty intense. Maybe more moving than the red wedding

Dreamland, Monday, 2 June 2014 04:06 (twelve years ago)

I don't think it was nihilistic in that it keeps with the show's general premise that revenge is stupid.

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Monday, 2 June 2014 04:07 (twelve years ago)

It wasn't just the brutality of the kill but Indira Varma's wail at the horror that made me feel the loss of a relatively minor (or at least, new) character. I guess I just didn't see the show/books writing itself into that much of a fucking corner.

Insane Prince of False Binaries (Gukbe), Monday, 2 June 2014 04:08 (twelve years ago)

happy for ramsay :)

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 2 June 2014 05:07 (twelve years ago)

Stark girls were great this episode; Sansa telling LF why she lied for him, and as stated, Arya busting a gut.

PS I'm still barfing that fight.

Call the Doctorb, the B is for Brownstein (Leee), Monday, 2 June 2014 05:11 (twelve years ago)

Still love the show but. Getting tired of the whole 'killing good ppl just cause they're good' thing. Is it like that in the books or are they purposefully doing it to get ratings?

Dreamland, Monday, 2 June 2014 05:33 (twelve years ago)

all of the main attention-grabbing deaths thus far in the show have been exceptionally faithful to the books iirc*. some minor characters have had different fates.

(* exception being robb's wife. she is not at the wedding at all in the books.)

Clay, Monday, 2 June 2014 05:38 (twelve years ago)

fucking hell

christmas candy bar (al leong), Monday, 2 June 2014 05:45 (twelve years ago)

I see.

Well, we're not even at episode 9, where shit always hits the fan..and I already have literally no one to care about anymore. Arya? Jon? Fuck it, really.

not sure what the beef is here. like all the other big deaths, this one makes dramatic sense in its particulars and is true to all the characters involved.

resulting post (rogermexico.), Monday, 2 June 2014 06:29 (twelve years ago)

xpost to forks all i could hear in that long pause before she said it was "franks and beans"

As a writer though, you can make ANY death or sharp turn 'fit'.

That doesn't mean you should, every few episodes.
