Ru was great on WTF -- I swear to god Ru is maybe the only person who can do this, but like 90% of everything he says is mashed up metaphors from self-help books and I would tune it out at straight up nonsense bullshit within 5 minutes if it was anyone else...but somehow I still want to hear everything he has to say, no matter what!

and he drilled down pretty hard with Maron on the things that hold you back from enjoying yourself etc, it was p cool

Loved Ben getting Miss Congeniality; if she'd been top three then Joslyn but since not, had to be Ben. (And I rather enjoyed Ru both noting general audience lust for Milk in boy mode and the protests when Ben left.)

No direct family mentions for Bianca still, I guess -- or maybe it's just him in the end? Or else the family's very private or etc. I still find it very interesting than in a show where, for all the 'we get to choose our families' rhetoric, immediate family of one form or another is so heavily emphasized (thus the Darienne redemption moment, Joslyn and hubby's moms, etc.). So having it be Lola and her mom solely as the Bianca family support stands out a bit.

Definite odd moment for me was Adore/Laganja watching the Untucked thing, because I couldn't get the exact tone.

Jiggy Caliente! Looking good! Ivy was a bit wobbly there but hey, stilts.

I also like how ALL the queens get glammed up and got up in full for these finales, it shifts from being under-pressure efforts to something else.

Meantime I've seen a few photos emerge from the actual finale party in Las Vegas and presumably video to follow. If they hold it there next year I am seriously thinking of going.

I kind of agree with the wire piece, but it was probably the most fun finale they've had so I don't really care?

I sort of wish the finale was more of a two parter project runway kind of deal where they have longer to put together something for a challenge and really show their own brand of drag but it's not going to keep me up at night

Yeah same here. Also, let's be frank, the ONLY reason they just don't go ahead and do it live is because of the potential for fuck-ups and raunch.
