we have 2 of the worst umpires in the world thankfully the 3rd umpire is damn good and has reversed 2 awful decisions.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 19:11 (seventeen years ago)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:16 (seventeen years ago)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:49 (seventeen years ago)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:51 (seventeen years ago)

Heh. Boycott's quite good on the radio with referrals - not much analysis other than 'hmm, didn't look out'

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:54 (seventeen years ago)

this is some horrific bowling

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:56 (seventeen years ago)

with no referrals left it means if shocking decisions go against the bowlers fuck all can be done.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 20:56 (seventeen years ago)

like just there. *sigh* it was hitting the stumps and it pitched inside

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 21:00 (seventeen years ago)

cricket's been alright on that basis for the last 130 years, to be fair xp

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 7 March 2009 21:02 (seventeen years ago)

Monty!!!!

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 21:12 (seventeen years ago)

Absolutely no turn but smith played for it like KP did and bowled. We shouldn't get too excited though, it was a bad shot, not a turning delivery.
But its a wicket!

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 7 March 2009 21:14 (seventeen years ago)

well hello there

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Sunday, 8 March 2009 14:54 (seventeen years ago)

Any more promise from today's pitch? I can't believe this match is going to just fizzle out - ultra-defensive 7-batsman selections usually go horribly wrong somehow (at least they do when England pick them)

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 8 March 2009 15:13 (seventeen years ago)

Basically, England have a fantastic chance to take this game from a negative WI, and I suspect they just might do it. It'll take some good bowling from the spinners, though.

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Sunday, 8 March 2009 15:17 (seventeen years ago)

We've bowled well so far, if we can keep this pressure up and get Gayle out then the prospects look pretty good IMO.

Now, where's Herman for a prognostication of doom?

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Sunday, 8 March 2009 15:22 (seventeen years ago)

you know its a draw. no point in watching

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Sunday, 8 March 2009 16:03 (seventeen years ago)

lol Owais Shah is to running as Mitchell Johnson is to blunt-force trauma

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Sunday, 8 March 2009 17:07 (seventeen years ago)

Has there ever been a test series with less wickets taken? ZZZZZZZZZZ... What we need is uncovered pitches and playing in twilight.

jel --, Sunday, 8 March 2009 17:11 (seventeen years ago)

i think i'm with pfunkboy on that last lbw decision...panesar's bowling pretty well!

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Sunday, 8 March 2009 18:40 (seventeen years ago)

Bob Willis says Russell Tiffin and Daryl Harper are the two worst umpires he has ever seen standing in a Test - certainly Tiffin is terrible, but I would insert the name of Ian Howell in there, who, while not actually a member of the Elite Panel, does sometimes stand in Tests and is execrable.

Abbe Black Tentacle (GamalielRatsey), Sunday, 8 March 2009 18:55 (seventeen years ago)

how quickly we forget b.c. cooray

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Sunday, 8 March 2009 18:56 (seventeen years ago)

i dont think warne and mcgrath would get 20 wkts on these pitches.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Sunday, 8 March 2009 19:29 (seventeen years ago)

Wouldn't matter if everyone ran like Owais "Mummy, my hand hurts" Shah

Queueing For Latchstrings (Tom D.), Monday, 9 March 2009 11:54 (seventeen years ago)

stop being horrible to the poor man!!

they probably drink corporate water (country matters), Monday, 9 March 2009 11:55 (seventeen years ago)

Alvays mit the crrrrrramp and the running, oy!

Queueing For Latchstrings (Tom D.), Monday, 9 March 2009 11:56 (seventeen years ago)

a terrible man for the hand cramps, he is

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Monday, 9 March 2009 11:59 (seventeen years ago)

While I'm here, thank God someone has finally told Viv Richards that Christoper Martin-Jenkins first name isn't Martin - thought it's taken them 5 tests to do it. Now can someone give Viv a thesaurus to find an alternative word for "individual"

Queueing For Latchstrings (Tom D.), Monday, 9 March 2009 12:02 (seventeen years ago)

That's Sir Viv to you.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Monday, 9 March 2009 12:03 (seventeen years ago)

Terrible individual for the first names

Queueing For Latchstrings (Tom D.), Monday, 9 March 2009 12:03 (seventeen years ago)

He does have a tendency to repeat himself, but he's also funny and can be astute, I think.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Monday, 9 March 2009 12:10 (seventeen years ago)

these 2 are the worst umpires I've ever seen.

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 14:33 (seventeen years ago)

and prior is not a good enough wicket keeper

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 14:52 (seventeen years ago)

the only way there will be a result in this game is if england lose wickets quickly and collapse trying to score quick runs (if the WI even let them bat again)

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 14:53 (seventeen years ago)

which sadly will justify gayles negative tactics

Pfunkboy in blood drenched rabbit suit jamming in the woods (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 9 March 2009 14:53 (seventeen years ago)

but he's also funny and can be astute

Surely not? He's not been as bad this Test series as in previous ones, but on occasion he has sounded like he's looking at a different match to anyone else. Still prefer to him to Tony 'Most Boring Man in the World' Cozier tho. Or Bishan Bedi.

Abbe Black Tentacle (GamalielRatsey), Monday, 9 March 2009 15:02 (seventeen years ago)

I think he banters well with Agnew and CMJ. I like Cozier as well though.

zero learnt from nero (Neil S), Monday, 9 March 2009 15:03 (seventeen years ago)
