the needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many

What need of yours was being infringed again?

Doritos Loco Parentis (Hurting 2), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 19:57 (twelve years ago)

to be an old man with cancer who can spread his legs or sit down

images of war violence and historical smoking (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 19:58 (twelve years ago)

people should pretty much not be allowed to have children.
think of planet earth! your child is going to produce so many tons of garbage in its lifetime! and it's all your fault!

ian, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:28 (twelve years ago)

it's all hurting's fault

iatee, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:31 (twelve years ago)

sorry, hurting, but as a parent you have destroyed planet earth and also the nyc subways.

ian, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:33 (twelve years ago)

obv I am talking about just one genus of parent, the selfish fucks

images of war violence and historical smoking (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:34 (twelve years ago)

yeah iatee, you and your permanent-rush-hour never-a-seat idyll welcomes spacehog parents.

images of war violence and historical smoking (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:35 (twelve years ago)

honestly, the real enemy on the subways is students. teenagers and college students alike. they're loud, they lean against the pole, they don't let riders off before they trample into the train, they run and cause a ruckus on the platform, they've got backpacks swinging all over the place, and they have absolutely no regard for anyone else.

ian, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:35 (twelve years ago)

also smelly hobos

images of war violence and historical smoking (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:36 (twelve years ago)

of course. let's not forget the hobos.

ian, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:36 (twelve years ago)

people who play games on their cell phones w/ the sound on are actually the true enemy

iatee, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:37 (twelve years ago)

they're bad. but there's significant overlap with students there. see also: people who play music on their iphone speaker.

ian, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:46 (twelve years ago)

did we say "fucking breeders" yet?
fucking breeders

sitting on a claud all day gotta make your butt numb (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:49 (twelve years ago)

they don't let riders off before they trample into the train

yet to notice which part of the population doesn't do this

mizzell, Wednesday, 30 April 2014 20:52 (twelve years ago)

sorry, but a third of em clearly think they are the upper caste

ALL BOROUGH, ALL LINES, Power Dip

Due to a temporary power loss system wide, expect delays on all lines. Allow additional travel time.

gonna be a long summer

mookieproof, Wednesday, 18 June 2014 14:05 (twelve years ago)

borough's trains to be pulled by burros

I just took the F at 11am, no perceptible delays

son of a lewd monk (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 18 June 2014 15:53 (twelve years ago)

(also only hour the F is not SRO)

Post here when you ride the G train shuttle bus.

Who Loves The Three Suns (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 01:23 (eleven years ago)

I ate some overpriced artisanal pasta place near the bus stop. Won't be doing that again anytime soon.

Who Loves The Three Suns (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 01:40 (eleven years ago)

i'm doing everything possible to avoid G madness

go ahead. make vid where u rap about this new TMNT movie. (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 03:41 (eleven years ago)

I rode it Saturday night, to get to the gay bar in Wmsburg after the Mets game. Not bad at that hour.

son of a lewd monk (Dr Morbius), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 03:43 (eleven years ago)

Sometimes I take the A train at the same time a baseball game has gotten out and people are going home, and then I curse the parents that bore me.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 6 August 2014 04:10 (eleven years ago)

So many ways to be annoyed on the subway, so little time.

lolololol it seems fairly clear that she was living on the ACE.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:09 (eleven years ago)

if she was confused about which train was the local vs. express that resulted in 3 extra stops before reaching hoyt schermerhon, then she was getting on at nostrand, where the express and local are *on different floors*

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:14 (eleven years ago)

and the train letter and number is on the side of every car at least once, except for me today since I was on a train with some dead electronics: no signboards and no air conditioning, the latter giving me a nice taste of the london underground.

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:16 (eleven years ago)

her complaints: air conditioned cars, express trains, color coding by manhattan trunk lines, and too many fonts (?? should just be helvetica aside from some odd ancient signs)

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:18 (eleven years ago)

her legit complaints: dilapidated stations, cluttered map, no countdown clocks

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:19 (eleven years ago)

I am a willing victim of any and all nyc subway trolling. I'm ashamed.

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:20 (eleven years ago)

otm

zero content albums (darraghmac), Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:22 (eleven years ago)

the map isn't needlessly complex, it needs to be complex, because there are just a lot of weird things going on in the system

iatee, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:50 (eleven years ago)

legit complains: 'I ask the unimpressed, triumphantly unhelpful MTA staff.'

iatee, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 13:53 (eleven years ago)

I can't believe she's complaining about AC, it's almost like there were zero typical NYC summer days this summer.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 24 September 2014 14:01 (eleven years ago)

NB I have come close to passing out on the F platform at Herald Sq before.

Orson Wellies (in orbit), Wednesday, 24 September 2014 14:02 (eleven years ago)

not that it doesn't have its problems too, but I like something closer to the map on the right, just for clarity (and for separating local and express lines):

chinavision!, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 14:10 (eleven years ago)

a movable icy tundra

this is the best part!

mookieproof, Wednesday, 24 September 2014 14:13 (eleven years ago)

YES. cv, where is that map hosted?? I used to have a bookmark on something hosted by Columbia but it went down years ago and I never replaced it. I want to look at that one.
