Sorry, I didn't mean that, I was just satirizing a certain posting style to demonstrate the depressing futility of even posting at all.

go ahead. make vid where u rap about this new TMNT movie. (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 5 August 2014 17:47 (eleven years ago)

morbs when you're curled up on the floor in the middle of the night, crying and moaning about how you turned into such a dumb miserable fuck, a bigot playing out his last days online defending child rape and richard nixon, when you're there on the floor, thinking about how it'll all be over soon and how few will notice and fewer still care, do you take those deep intake sobs where it's almost like you're hyperventilating and you can hear the emptiness of your thick skull? cuz that's how i picture. or do you just lie there, silent, unblinking, urinating all over yrself? the latter seems to subtle and lacking of self pity for you ime so it's the sobs right?

so wait morbz thinks the spirit of ilx is hating morbz?

da croupier, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:08 (eleven years ago)

more like the tolerance for fucking psychotics

son of a lewd monk (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:11 (eleven years ago)

so we should ban people who say "fuck you all and kill me now"?

da croupier, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:13 (eleven years ago)

leaving aside the misquote, we're kinda different given that asswipe's incurable disease allusions, you ugly ugly man

KILLFILE 2.0

mattresslessness, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:22 (eleven years ago)

if you don't like feeling bad and/or angry and want to still post here, seriously consider setting that up / having a friend help you with it or w/e, it has made my ilx experience a measure more tolerable and/or fun, and you can play the drama game without the hassle of spectators by adding or purging names from your list at your convenience. cheers!

mattresslessness, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:27 (eleven years ago)

some apologies -

morbz said "fuck you all and please kill me" not "fuck you all and kill me now"

verbal abuse with creepy irl references to illness is undeniably worse than verbal abuse with creepy irl references to mutually attended concerts

gonna do my best to ignore morbz in the future, but sadly can't commit to killfile cuz one might want to know when people make creepy irl references about them

da croupier, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:38 (eleven years ago)

guys we all have our own built in killfile its called just ignoring people it works for me at least 10% of the time

lag∞n, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:49 (eleven years ago)

xp oh ok, i see how my joke was confusing, i was directing the killfile advice to dr morbius actually. i don't have him in my little magic disappearing list. it's reserved for one person who makes me see red all the time. it's for me to take responsibility for that, basically. dr morbius, it seems like if you want to keep posting here and avoid the nastiness, which at ths point is becoming mutually necessary i.e. the nastiness seems to be becoming intolerable although i don't deign to speak for everyone or imaginary official mod-dom or whatever, you're going to need to start taking some responsibility for your part in it. killfile is an easy way for me, personally, to do that. you might want to take a look into it!

but killfile works 100% of the time, why not fight technology with technology

mattresslessness, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:52 (eleven years ago)

my two cents obviously and now i'm taking the side door

mattresslessness, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:53 (eleven years ago)

and for letting oneself be called a defender of child rape, 2c is a lot

son of a lewd monk (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:56 (eleven years ago)

taking responsibility for yourself is priceless

mattresslessness, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 19:59 (eleven years ago)

sorry croup and i outvoted you on that issue

son of a lewd monk (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:05 (eleven years ago)

i was killfiled a couple months back by this poster i wasn't even really aware existed until the moment of killfiling, it was a weird moment. like someone telling me they were going to ignore me and it was like "and you are....?"

i can't even figure out how to use it. i'd hate to miss out on any posts plus i generally like everyone.

I used a killfile on another message board for a bit. I found it frustrating when others were engaging with posts I couldn't see.

polyphonic, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:18 (eleven years ago)

So wait does kill file also keep people from seeing your posts and referring to you? Cuz then I might be into this.

da croupier, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:19 (eleven years ago)

wait are you notified when someone kill files you

is this empty sanitism (darraghmac), Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:36 (eleven years ago)

"you have been killfiled by a grue"

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:42 (eleven years ago)

i would assume yer not notified, just cuz i've never been and i know not everybody likes pedantic back-and-forths and lyric parodies

then again you apparently need to be craftier at html than i am to figure out this killfile shit in the first place

da croupier, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:45 (eleven years ago)

no, iirc people just have web browser extensions or whatever to keep certain posts from showing up

mh, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:46 (eleven years ago)

why not replace the posts with jiggle panda so you know there was a post that got jiggle p'd

Sufjan Grafton, Tuesday, 5 August 2014 20:49 (eleven years ago)

jiggle p.d. starring daniel baldwin the HBO hit nobody saw coming
