most of them understand the diff between utility and affectation, though, and classify most watches accordingly

i've played with an android watch. reading twitter on it was funny

you couldn't really pull to refresh properly because the app clearly hadn't been optimized

i really think the restriction of screen sizes was something that Apple got right - hate that they're going in the other direction now

they really have no choice, like its cool and tidy to have just an iphone and an ipad but real world usage demands at least couple more sizes, on the other hand all those samsung sizes is a big reason why no one wants to develop for android

well, they're dropping the 4 and 4s eventually

which leaves them with 5/5s and one or two others depending on what they launch this fall

and two ipads

not the same thing

well, perhaps an "ipad pro" at some point too

and an iwatch

and an apple tv

and all the macs

FWIW I see a lot more big 5-6"+ phones over here in East Asia than I do iPhones now

Yeah - it's gonna be legacy 4/4S, 5/5S, theoretically two new sizes for 6 (though one of them might just be 5 size), and the iPad sizes do matter since most apps are universal now and it bloats up the app size as well. (+possible App Store for iWatch)

I guess I should be thankful App Store is separate for Mac and AppleTV

I see how the bigger, nicer screens will draw the public but still, screw all those other app stores

iPad does that, but i don't think it works with the various phone proportions (4 > 5 > 6) and they have to be coded for

the thing is if you just use bigger pixels on a bigger iphone youre kinda ignoring the whole point of a bigger device, like it needs to provide actually more area to do stuff not just magnify things, also as dan said bigger pixels would break the retina

resolution independence is also helped when at least you know screens will have the same proportions, if not density (16:9, 16:10 etc) but i feel like it's just a pipe dream nobody at Apple (or anywhere for that matter) seems to care about right now. (but I care!)

what qualifies as a "retina display" for apple is pretty clear

you hold the device X inches away from your face, if you can't see pixels, it's retina

and the length varies between devices because apparently you hold your ipad further away or something
