HBO adaptation of Game of Thrones - will this be just for nerds? (NO SPOILERS PLEASE)

There are at least fifteen characters in this that I would happily kill off immediately if it meant freeing up space for trash talking and machinations courtesy of Vary and Littlefinger.

Looking forward to LF's impending fatherhood issues with the creepy breastfeeding child as well.

There's only been this one new ep, right? Eh, it was OK. Lots of people grouching around, plus requisite gratuitous boobs/blood/dragons.

You could reduce every episode of any good drama in the same manner.

I'm more happy about Shae now being out of the picture than I am about Joffrey. At least, I hope she's out of the picture.

because we never see Shae getting on the boat and leaving my expectations during the wedding was Joff bringing her out and flaying her or some such nonsense for the crowd.

shae's accent is so annoying + she's still the worst actor on the show. i kept thinking i'd get used to her as time went on but last night she was as painful to watch as ever.

That was one hell of a bombshell to drop two episodes into a season but I suppose it was also like 3/4 of the way through a book. Proper grisly Jim Robinson type death scene as well.

Also there is no way in hell that Shae got on that boat, or at least left on it.

Considering he can INHABIT THE MINDS OF WOLVES Bran is one hell of a boring character.

Yeah I wish there was some momentum there. Worrying they'll just trudge along forever in the snow until he finds another tree to give him more clues.

yeah, that storyline is a bummer because it always seems like it's leading in a more promising direction, but his mad dream skillz seem to function more as a deus ex machina. like in last night's episode, they're wandering north in search of...something. suddenly the tree pours angel dust into his throat, he freaks out, wakes up and says he knows where to go now. it's just not satisfying

not like he got their with any clear aim (that i can recall) either tho.

It only took me ten minutes at work this morning to accidentally learn who did it. Sheesh.

i was 90% sure right off the bat and a coworker pretty much confirmed it for me today (except for one party being involved i did not expect)

i was wondering about that too. i imagine they'll have a courteous and frank discussion early on in the next episode and make an announcement that will anger no one.

The little brother seems logical? Not like he'll be doing anything with the title.

Joffrey has a little brother? man, for all the murdering that goes on on this show there are STILL too many characters
