i have no problem with making oberyn bi but it was definitely played like a "...did i SHOCK you" moment which is a bit lame in this day and age

Been a long time but I think he comes across as more cunning and sophisticated in the books

They're really trying to play up the "this guy ain't from around here and he's not gonna play by the rules of WESTEROS" or w/e (NB before some nerd points out that Dorne actually is in Westeros 1) you know what I mean 2) those maps in the paperbacks are shit)

Oberyn's sexuality isn't hinted at in the books -- it's fairly well spelled out (or at least with characters repeating rumors). I'm more miffed that he's more White Viper than Red Viper.

well he hasn't been mentioned in like 26 episodes or so so he's probably not supposed to be at the forefront of your mind

if benjen ever reappears they'll probably give you a handy flashback to remind you of who he is like with ser dontos

There are at least fifteen characters in this that I would happily kill off immediately if it meant freeing up space for trash talking and machinations courtesy of Vary and Littlefinger.
