checked 'yes' to all of those with mounting excitement until i got to 'and you turned out okay' and realised with crushing disappointment i would be unable to like and share :(

I'm confused by the vandalism bit, is it complaining that there is not enough vandalism these days? Or that the vandalism you get these days isn't as good as the vandalism when Britain was great? Also makes it sound like the school only had one desk.

Great British Vandalism, coming this summer to BBC 2 with Mel 'n' Sue.

Recorded top 40 off the radio? That's piracy!

I used to play in the woods all day and THEN come in and play NES. The best of both worlds.

This could be a bathetic rewrite of Notorious BIG's Things Done Changed.
Sadly I only play online Kiss Chase and the iPhone Bulldog app these days.

I'm placing that golden age above as around 1984 as opposed to my 1978. You got 20 sweets in a 10p mixture in my day, as long as they were Black Jacks or Mojos. Also we didn't get "grounded", we got "kept in" or more often "beaten" so I think this is after the corporal punishment became frowned upon, if not illegal.

― soref, Wednesday, 9 April 2014 13:54 (twelve years ago)
"grounded" wasn't a word, remember having a telephone installed as an event, possibly late 70s/early 80s, vandalism included Wigan Casino grafitti on the side of Martin's the newsagent, 10p sweets made up of a mix of half pees, one pees and extragavant three pee packets of chews
― twistent consistent (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 9 April 2014 14:05 (twelve years ago)
lol this is what came to mind for me too, in my day vandalism was smashed up windows on derelict factories which are now swanky hotels and NF graffiti on walls.

Hey, my fellow white people. Let's not maybe take every buzzfeed test that comes down the pike, especially the ones that end in macros like this one?

I mean, ha? You're not white like Colin Powell? Do the results span the gamut from light-skinned Negroes to dark-skinned Negroes? I don't know what I'm missing, but I think that I'd prefer to just remain missing it. Cool, ok? All-right, *awkward high-five*.
