It's no good people rating their own looks and personality - everyone is wildly wrong. I mean, Mark C just corrected Madchen on her personality, and rightly, but she had 4 for looks! Luna had 5! What sort of crazed criteria are they applying?

We should all rate each other's looks and personality out of 10. That would be much better*.

* read 'infinitely more disastrous', obviously.

After watching tonight's rerun of My So-Called Life (the 'rebellious' substitute teacher one wherein Don McKellar or a lookalike belittles and harrasses students, throws their work out the window, offers no creative writing instruction whatsoever beyond telling them to "be real" and let it all out and not care for petty matters like spelling or grammar, thus inspiring them to produce melodramatic angst-riddent tripe and really tame erotic poetry which ends up being censored by the evil principal who happens to be the only non-white authority figure on the show THIS WAS THE MOST ACCLAIMED TV SHOW PROBABLY OF THE ENTIRE 90s) with a new perspective and realizing it was easily the kitschiest hour of television ever (down to the stirring words "Question Everything" scrawled on the blackboard), I don't know whether to change my pick or to be even more committed to it.

Sundar -- I suppose one has to look at that show in perspective, i.e. compare it to all the other programs that were out there during that time period. Perhaps at that point and time, it was the most provocative program around, and perhaps with the passing of time and the creation of numerous other programs, it has lost that allure. Which means that if you still love that program, hey, it's still quite all right.

(At least it's not as embarrassing as having once enjoyed DeBarge's "Rhythm of the Night" is. Um, not that I ever did that, no, no way.)
