I know KenzoDB is very different from the ilx code, but it'd be cool if there was some quick/easy way to create an ILXOR map similar to the WFMU donor map -- http://wfmu.org/marathon/map.php

it'd be pretty easy using geoip services, but there's mixed utility there

might also be bad if there are some ilxors who live in sparsely-populated areas and even the zip code would give them away. an opt-in option might be ok?

Yeah, I was definitely thinking of everybody putting their own thumbtack on the map, but requiring login so it couldn't be shenaniganized.

Question about the bookmarking: would I be able to use the makeRequest() ajax method (which does a GET) to delete a bookmark, or does the request have to be a POST?

Right. Mainly I'd like to call up previous user IDs of my own and, for instance, get a list of screen names Rock Hardy used. But old User IDs get deleted from the DB, iirc, so the only way to do that may be through an old fashioned trawl through the search function.

general rule for life that was drilled into me by my folks (not that they ever followed their own rules, but that is another story !) :

'if you aint got nothing nice to say, then don't say nothing at all'

hence the lack of cover/socks.
