Apple refuses to publicly break out iPhone sales by model so we can't know for sure. I think the 5c would have sold better if they discontinued the 4S at the same time though.

hard to say. the 4S was not only cheaper, but a different form factor, making it more markedly "inferior" compared to previous phone upgrades

i flaked on getting a 5S, guess I'm waiting for the 6 now

I am guessing you're running Mavericks, right? That would alleviate memory congestion but you're going to see some pauses when it's retiring things in the background as you do more in the foreground.

use crucial to figure out the specs. use newegg to buy "generic laptop" memory with the same specs for half the price

eh, I'd spend a couple extra bucks for a name brand of some sort, although I don't think newegg carries that many actual generics these days

i don't mean literally generic, i mean like g-skill, but even kingston and other bands will often be cheaper than buying direct from crucial. or even buying crucial memory from third parties!

I'd already left that job by '94, but I did get to see a few Stevenotes around the critical 97-2001 era. My fave was WWDC 2000 - the intro of OS X dp4 with the new UI a few months after he became iCEO. When the reality distortion field was running at full power it was unstoppable.
