Zing Touch: ILX now ON IPHONE (and ipod tooches too)

Eugh, I forgot to renew my dev subscription. £60 to sell apps. Have done it now, apps should be back on the store shortly.

Minor issue alert: Zing crashes if you access a poll thread, click through to poll options or results and then go back.

Even once in a while I type some long post and then completely wipe it out by accident. For a long time I thought I was somehow hitting a hot key combo by accident but I finally figured out today it was just a fat-fingered hit on the trash can icon.

I do that all the damn time. Then when I shake to undo, the app crashes.

That's why I have don't have the time to fix redundancies like two occurrences of "by accident"- I'm afraid the thing will vanish while I am looking it over.

Would be nice in any future upgrade to be able to disable trash or enable "Are you sure?" afterwards.

I think I mentioned something similar up thread because I've accidentally tapped that trash can more times than I can remember. I think the trash icon would make the most sense in the "more..." category

That's not a bad idea. Where it lives now it is right in the path of certain finger arcs that lead to, among others, the 'A' key, the 'E' key and the Shift-key, keys that seem to get hit reasonably often.

Do you think it might be worth getting rid of the "DELETE EVERYTHING YOU JUST WROTE" button? It'd pretty easy to do this w/o the button and it's so close to Q and W that I constantly hit it but then type a few more characters before I realize so that shaking/undoing won't restore the text. I'm willing to bet more people press it accidentally than on purposefully

I have never pressed it accidentally, and do use it from time to time

I use it a lot. I've maybe accidentally hit it once or twice. Maybe keep it but move it somewhere so it's harder to press it accidentally?

xp that would work! I didn't realize ppl used it but yeah it is a constant source of frustration w/ my gargantuan thumbs

Nope. It just goes. It takes a while to figure out what's going on actually. For a whole I thought I was hitting some magic combo of keys, like Shift-delete.

You can shake to undo the deletion, mind (although someone said that crashed for them).

It crashes, but it does bring the text back when you go back in.

I've never seen the text come back after post-shaking crash.

Also, for the benefit of those who didn't hear the news, I'll move it in the mythical next release probably means "I'll do it some time before our baby's first birthday, if you're lucky" :)

Yeah it crashes often, and a lot of times by the time I realize it I've already typed enough that Undo won't go back far enough to undo the clear :-(

update request: can you make it so that videos wont have audio muted if the ringer is turned off?

while I'm here, does anyone use the bold/italic/quote/code/etc buttons in Zing's post composer? I'm doing the iOS 7-ication now, and it'll be a pain to do all those again if I don't have to
