Lots of people say that about female slashfic writers. I get what you're saying about it being a lot more public because of the internet, but I remember being 13 pretty well. If you pretended Cheetara was actually your girlfriend you were pretty creepy.

having had to deal with Bronies on occasion (I decided to organize a MLP CCG tournament at one of my shops, etc.), they're pretty much all nice and polite, no more awkward than the D&D or Magic nerds. Maybe they all secretly go home and jerk off to Derpy but they just seem like kids who needed something to unite around and picked MLP.
