10 bizarre objects found in 'cool' offices

All that self-sacrifice, judgement, self-pity! I’d say it’s (snoball), Tuesday, 17 December 2013 11:23 (twelve years ago)

we inherited a telecom company's design choices when we moved into their old offices. cringeworthy, the lot of them. (actually, the mural in the boardroom is well done but we should paint over it as it's one enormous branding exercise. and the table with the map of nyc is ok)

(actually, we have stunk up the place ourselves with the neon heart and all the record label specific art from the last place (we moved from an old ex-record label headquarters and had bought a lot of stuff relating to them for decoration))

I think I posted this before but this Mini is a meeting room at Rackspace

http://beautyandthebriefcaseblogs.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/office-design-london-rackspace.jpg

The reception area looks like a Mirror's Edge interior

They also have an indoor garden with swings.

gaze not into the navel (onimo), Thursday, 19 December 2013 13:22 (twelve years ago)

I am horribly sorry, but I think that reception is gorgeous. 'Mini as a meeting room' makes me want to kill, though.

emil.y, Thursday, 19 December 2013 13:38 (twelve years ago)

lol yeah i would have no problem working at a place with a car in the middle of it but the second someone made me sit in it to have a meeting i'd tender resignation

Ha, I've seen loads of people sharing that going "oh, isn't it wonderful they have a sense of humour?" To which my answer is unfailingly no, no it isn't, they're still over-priced privatised pieces of scum-sucking shit.

emil.y, Thursday, 9 January 2014 01:47 (twelve years ago)

Some people at work are planning to go to this. I would literally rather sit in my GP's waiting room with NO BOOKS for the same amount of time.

an explanatory note in the new tumblr privacy policy:

Reblogs, Likes, and Replies are a matter of public record, so if you’re truly ashamed of your desires it’s best to keep them to yourself. But why? Be proud of who you are. You’re beautiful. We’re looking you in the eyes and telling you how beautiful you are.

Edgetone Records has opened a small cat carrier and released the debut album, Flower Futures, by R***** F******. It is now scurrying around the world in all its charmingly incoherent, aggressively whimsical glory.
