Richard Coughlan, drummer for Caravan, on Dec 1.

From the Caravan facebook page:
It is with a very heavy heart that we announce that Richard Coughlan passed away on Sunday 1st December.

Richard was a founder member and drummer for Caravan for over forty three years. Richard died at his home and had been in poor health for the last few years.

He has played on all of the band’s releases to date and was one of the early birds in the history of the Canterbury bands having sessioned with The Wilde Flowers and predecessors. Despite not being well Richard played percussion at Caravan’s reunion gig in London in December 2010 and received a standing ovation.

His unique style of playing and wonderful character will be sorely missed. We pass our sincere sympathies to Richard’s wife Sue, his daughter Beth, and all his family.

We will publish a fuller obituary in due course and will have a book of condolences on the website so that his friends and fans can leave a message.

Richard was 66 years old
May he Rest in Peace.

I see that aldo has already clocked the death of colin wilson, i only heard of his passing today via this obit. there has been nobody else quite like him in british culture:

I forgot to come back and post an obit, thanks for doing it. I once attended a lecture on Atlantis given by a VERY VERY drunk Wilson which was undoubtedly a life highlight. He probably did more work in more things I'm interested in than anybody else.

RIP Joe, was involved in music biz from 1940s to the 70s :

Joe Bihari, 88, the co-founder of a family record company that exposed blues performers such as B.B. King, Little Richard, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James and Etta James to a wider audience, died Nov. 28 in a Los Angeles hospital, family members said.
"The Biharis had one of the most important companies in the history of rhythm and blues," said Jim O'Neal, founding editor of Living Blues magazine, "and Joe was the one who produced most of the sessions."
O'Neal said the family's labels, including Modern Records and RPM, inspired other companies "to go looking for down-home blues."
