On the news I keep hearing "crashed into the roof" but that doesn't give an entirely accurate picture - it's a single-story building with, at least in part, a flat roof.

The auld Clutha, eh? Never liked it as a pub much, I must admit. I haven't been as glued to 24 hour news since Johnny Smeaton did his superhero act @ Glasgow Airport that time.

Just been forwarded a thing on FB from a famous American (who was in a recent WDYLL with an ILXor) "storm troopers" crashed it deliberately because they suspected there was an IRA meeting in there and Britain is a fascist dictatorship targeting innocent Irishes.

i only talked to 4 people today and they all mentioned it.

Not a pub I've ever drunk in, but have still had a stream of texts from friends in England over the weekend, checking in - seems to have been a big story down South. Hoping no ILXors have personal involvement.

Right, this is on. Sounds like it's going to be fairly sedate - it's felt like someone's been having a funeral in my brain today and at times I've wanted to curl up in a little ball on the floor - but be good to see people. Will be in the station-convenient Stereo as soon as I can get out of work (probably about quarter/half past five).

Sorry, I have been extraordinarily careless in my budgeting and have zero money for fun between now and Christmas Eve. Enjoy sitting on Stereo's tremendously uncomfortable chairs or sofas!

I know I'm only 12 miles away from Glasgow and originally from EK which is mini-glasgow, so its possible lanarkshire/renfrewshire gets lumped in to it , but loads of those words are used here.
Gallus is a great word that no one uses it now. Even my EK friends say they havent heard it used in 30 years. Its a great Francie & Josie word though. Bring it back!
