Ideas for ILX

It's not really a length of time - gets a bit technical this. Each user's information is cached when they use the site in what's known as a "least-recently used" cache. This means that each time you do anything on the site, your data gets stuck at the top of a long list. If you don't use the site, you'll slowly drop down the list. If you don't use it for some period of time (unclear as to how long, since it's dependent on how many other people are using it), then you'll eventually drop off the bottom of the list and the information is lost at that point.

i have an idea, how about getting rid of that dumb code that obscures email addresses and makes them unreadable to both spambot crawlers (if those still exist) and human beings alike

like why not make it space out the email address or something so you can still see what it is

was it adjusting the search results so that it displays how many messages are in each thread, which would help people to identify the most popular/relevant thread for a particular topic when conducting searches?

fix the bug where auto-hotlinking of URLs automatically leaves off forward slashes if they fall at the end of a URL

That sounds like it could accommodate a function to let users delete a thread from their read list?

also simple [youtube] and [vimeo] tags that work with any sort of url those sites spit out

It's outdated on their part, but every time I see some sort of embed feature that looks like

I like how deleting bookmarks clears the read/not read bullets for all the threads. But I don't actually use bookmarks. So sometimes when I want to clear my bullets, I bookmark a random thread then immediately delete all my bookmarks.
